No, not the kind that Corey & Julie were munching on. :lmao:I have a Cricut Expression and haven't really gotten into using it yet (don't tell Sean lol). Anyone else have one?

I don't have one but would love to! I have to watch the infomercial whenever I come across it.

I know Brandie has one and she used it to make Flatties.

I have only made some thank you cards on it and was not very happy with how they turned out. The edges were kinda rough/feathery. I'm trying to figure it out so I can use it for bulletin boards this year at work.

I have a Silhouette Expression, which is one of the ones you hook up to your computer, because I wanted the freedom to use my own fonts, and I didn't want to worry about storing all those cartridges. I haven't used it much, though. My experience with cutting card stock has been that you need to do multiple passes with the blade, or you do get those ragged edges. Wonder if that's the same for the Cricut? I think I read someplace that it might be...

I don't have one yet but am planning on buying one next week if my family forgets that it is on my birthday wish list. :rolleyes1

I have a silhouette that I bought in a moment of weakness on QVC. I've used it to make valentine cards for DD's class and for a invitations for a couple of her birthday parties but not much else. We're in the process of redoing her room and I want to be able to cut out some vinyl shapes for her walls.

My sister has one and I think she really likes it. If you have questions Nikki, I can connect the two of you.

I have one. I've made posters for the teachers at school (amazing how many teachers need a poster when I do one for one of them), used it in scrapping, made vinyl letters, made signs for James at work.... I really like it, but I don't scrap like I used to. I think I'd rather do digital scrapping.

I have one.

The last time I used it was last year to make an autograph book for my DD for WDW. The characters really loved looking at it.

I actually have a small room where all my scrapbook stuff is stored. I just never seem to find the time to go scrapbook.

Maybe if I could pull myself away from the DIS boards for just a little while I could actually make something.
Nevermind I might miss something on the boards!

I have the original one. I don't use it as much as I thought I would, unfortunately:sad2:. I think part of it is my own laziness to get it out and set it up. If I had a bigger workspace where I could leave it out all the time I think it'd be different. I usually get a new cartridge once per year when Michael's runs their big black Friday sale.

I have one also.
I love it. Like pp, I made an autograph book for my DD. I managed to get all the Disney cartridges from ebay for a very reasonable price (much better than Michaels or even Walmart.)
When I started I used to get rough edges. I adjusted the strength of the blade (strongest) and now it's clean lines all the time.

I have the Expression and I love it! There are so many things I have done with it. My sis uses it a lot to make cubby tags for school, I've used it to make gifts where I etch glass (like you see on the infomercial!), I even bought the sticky paper and I'm going to make my own wall hanging that says "Pride" and "Joy" and hang it under my boys pictures over the TV in the living room.

But I use it the most for scrapbooking.

I have the Expression and I love it. I use it for scrapbooking, and have come up with some great pages with it. I highly recomend it.

I have one and love it!! There are some really good videos on youtube showing how to do different things like make the Mickey character, haven't tried that one yet.

I never thought of using You Tube for help. Awesome tip! Thanks!!!

looks like you got a bunch of good tips in this thread. Gonna share pictures of what you create? =)

I've had one for a couple of years. I have all of the Disney cartridges except for Cars. I almost bought it yesterday at Michaels. I love it. I used it when we went to the World in 2008 for the custom autograph books with Mickey on the front & Micky & Minnie on the back.

FYI: The Silhouette is a Quick Kutz, not a Cricut. Looks like you can do True Type Fonts up to 8 inches, but not the specialty items like the Disney cartridges with the Princesses, Faires, or the Fab Five. The Cricut Expression does up to 24 inches. I haven't used it often that large, but we printed items for the kids walls and they love have the personalized sayings on there.

If you are getting jagged edges, change the blade. Sounds like it's dull.

I think I have the first cricut. I only have 2 cartridges. I use it mostly for letters. I am glad I have it. I have learned that the rpessure and speed setting are really important to make the cut the way you want.
