hey firsttimer, where are you driving from, we drove from san antonio to orlando and it was a "heck" of a drive. my advice to you , start driving at 0300. you'd be amazed how far you can get with the kids asleep . also the dvd players are great to keep kidsbusy. where will you be sstaying?
i swear, i am eating, sleeping and dreaming disney right now!!!!

hey parman2001, we are driving from Fort Worth. We are also staying at Pop. We are leaving about 1:00 am I have packed little gifts for my kids to open every hour or so. If it is a movie then they will get another gift in 2 hours. I hope it will be fun!
I can not figure out how long it will take us. mapquest says almost 19 hours, AAA says a little more than 17 and others have posted 16 hours. I am a planner ---I need exact details.

Well since we will both be at Pop we will probably see each other many times. I hope your trip is magical and you enjoy, the airport, I mean flight.

when we left from here, it was roughly 21 hrs. it was REALLY long, and driving through some of the coastal states , well lets just say I hope you have good shocks! dh and i spent the trip down counting waffle houses ( lets just say that before we reached fla i had passed 70 )i will be looking for you around the world!!!! i'll be the one with the silly grin on !!!

We were not planning on it. Are you going? I have heard on the boards it is packed. My family and I like to go when it is NOT packed.

We were thinking of getting the water parks and more thing. Just not sure if it will be to cold for water parks? Also wondering if we can get our tickets to the parks a day before we are suppost to check into Pop. Pop is full so we will be checking in off-site.

If we can I will be getting the waterparks and more and we will go to disney quest the first day. If not I will have to rethink it since most of the advantages are closed. ie: pleasure island and typhoon lagoon.


I am having a hard time waiting to go. I want to pack up and leave right now! How about you?

i don't know about the waterpark, grew up north in canada so, for the most part i can go swimming just about anytime we will be bringing suits so, will likely go to the pools, we are passing on the waterparks, we live in san antonio, so we can go to waterparks anytime here.
we are going to the very first mvmcp we bought tickets early and are planning on following tgm advice. hopefully will not have too much trouble. this is our first, and hopefully we will be able to go again some other time.
when did POP book up? we were able to book it coming in on 8th and wasnt full then? we plan on that day to go to the resorts to see the lobbys, window shopping at wl maybe one day will afford to go there, maybe go to dtd after, i think the festival of the masters is there that day. gotta go , the girls are playing scene it again

I asked TA for the 8th and she said no go. So I looked on expedia and there were no rooms there either. I have no idea when it booked up. I wonder what is going on that weekend??? It must be something good.
