Anybody ever make a mistake on their tax return and it didn't get caught?

I may have omitted a small amount of taxable income. It's a gut feeling I had just as I slid the envelope through the slot at the post office. I was so glad to get it in the mail that I haven't checked yet. I'm afraid I'll find my mistake. Has anyone ever made an honest mistake and it didn't get caught? I don't want to get in trouble. I think I'll go to bed and check it int he morning - I'm pretty sure I did it and there's nothing I can do about it now.

I'm worried too! I just did mine last night- talk about procrastination! Because I get deductions for all of the miles I drive, I had to enter info about my car, and I totally couldn't remember what I paid for it, and didn't have time to find the records, so I sort of guessed Seeing that I am only getting like $50 back though, I doubt they will audit me
