Anybody ever bought a passporter?

I use mine both during the trip and for budgeting before the trip. I have all my tickets in the proper pockets and envelopes with tip money for mousekeeping, towncar rides and tips, bell hop tips, etc. in the book--I record PS numbers and find it is invaluable as a planning aid!

We just bought a Passporter for our upcoming trip and I'm amazed at the amount of detailed information! I'm excited about doing some planning, but I'm mostly excited and the prospect of using it as a journal during the trip and as a keepsake for years to come.

Get one!

If there's one thing I've learned with these boards is - everyone tells it like it is. If you like it or not.

Well, after reading this thread and knowing that I have the best vacation ever planned for July at AKL with my family of 6 and DSIL & DBIL I just placed an order for the passporter.

I can't wait till it comes in the mail!!! I ordered from Overstock.com - way cheaper than B&N! :teeth:

hi everyone.
I've been to WDW for the past few years (at least 2 weeks each time). Bought into DVC last year & using my points for the 1st time in june, + 3 nights in AKL. Even planned a trip for 20 last year (even got seats for 20, that's right 20!!! at CRT one day). I know the place far better than most. Every year, I get the unofficial guide. Do I have a need for a passporter? I like the websight & the board there, too. I just don't know if it will give me any info I don't already have. I put al my conf. #'s into my palm pilot & print up a few paper copies...trying to decide...thanks.

I also purchase the unofficial (and official) guide every year and extensively use my Palm Pilot for menus, reservations etc. I also purchase the passporter. The official guide purchase honestly is for the color pictures. The passporter and unofficial guides have more data and compliment each other. They are very different styles. One big plus is the passporter is typically more up to date than any of the other books - for example the 2003 editions went to press in Oct.2002 for the official and unofficial guide so just as in 2002 which were pressed in Oct 2001 or there abouts they still listed EE in 2002 when it had been discontinued and in 2003 they do not list the extra magic hour (EE reinstatment). All events changes in Oct 1 - Dec would not be covered in the other books. Passporter goes to press later so it included that and other late breaking news. Also updates and changes to the Passporter are posted on their site so you can make notations to the books. I have purchased the unofficial guide for many years and still plan to continue but I feel the Passporter is very unique and the layout, data, passpocket utilization etc are not to be missed. I have purchased the spiral in the past and this year I went with the Deluxe to check it out. So far so good.

I have 3: one for each of my last 3 trips, including the trip I'm currently planning for June.

I use mine before the trip for planning, during the trip to keep track of important info, and after the trip as a scrapbook.

I plan on getting one for every WDW trip I take from now on!!

I prefer having the Unofficial Guide as my primary pre-trip planner and then Passporter as a great compliment take it on the trip book due to its daytime type format. The two together are amazing - if I could only afford one though it would be the Unofficial Guide as it has more details, and it has very objective information.

thanks

I bought the WDW for my son, and the DC one for both of us. We LOVE these books!!!!

I love my passporter, too. I like the pockets - airline confirmations, resort confirmations and PS are all in their place.

Love the PassPorter Guides. I've got 8 of them plus 1 of their cruise guides. Been buying one of them for each trip since mid 1999. Trying the deluxe edition now. Great board too, visit me in the DVC forum over there.:earsboy:

I loooove the passporter! Spring for the deluxe version- I usually just DL the updates every now and then, and buy new pockets for each trip. I've gotten compliments and questions about it from other guests and cm's every trip, too! Mine carries my park passes, credit cards, Disney dollars, everything! Heaven help me if I ever lose it on vacation!

I love that there is actually unique info in the passporter, rather than the same set of facts you see over and over in most other guide books. Plus, Jennifer and Dave, the authors, are great! I was lucky enough to get to spend an evening with them at PI a few years ago, which was pretty exciting ;)

I was pretty sure I didn't need one. This next trip is somewhere around my 20th, and ds's 4th. Now after reading this thread, I'm off to order 1!;)

Love it, love it, love it- I have bought and used 5 would not go without one. They are awesome!
