With everything we've got going on this year, we're not going to be able to make it back to WDW until next year (and, as we usually go in Oct/Nov, that's almost two years away :sad1: ).

Anybody else having to wait until next year, or later? Misery loves company! :)

We're in the same boat, we've decided to give this year a miss and go in September 2010, though we're finding it hard to resist with the tempting offers that we keep seeing! The feeling of disappointment is tempered by the fact that we're looking at booking at the Yacht Club for when we do travel in 2010!!!

We are the same, we didn't go this year either as we went to Disneyland instead (visiting Walts origional park was cool!) Our next trip is for Christmas/New Year 2010/11.

PS PudseyChanser I'm origionally a Leeds girl too!

Good to know I'm not alone.

We too were tempted by the current offers and probably could have swung a trip if we'd stayed in a value or moderate. But last time, we stayed at AKL and fell in love with it - so we're consoling ourselves with the thought that staying there again will be worth the wait. We're also going to try to buy into DVC next time we're there, circumstances permitting

We're not going back to WDW till after 2010 :scared1: :scared1: however we do have a DCL Baltic cruise booked for summer 2010 if I don't get made redundant this year and we manage to get through 2009 :scared: :scared:

I have the major Disney blues too, we went last summer and can't afford to this year, so I'm not sure when we'll next be back. I've felt so blue about it this week, I keep trying to tell myself that I'm lucky to have been at all, but its not working!! So I'll just join you in your misery! ;)

I understand how you feel, I really want to go but hubby said we might not be able to afford it this year:sad2: I will just hope for a miracle. I will just have to keep looking at everyones lovely pictures and that makes me smile a little.

We're going this year, but haven't been since 2005. Don't worry the time will pass and your visit will be more special for having had to wait for it.

We are not going until 2010 either. On New Years Day I was at least able to say that we are going next year!! My family were not too impressed though. We have managed to go the last 3 years but we are giving this year a miss as we prefer not to go on a budget and flights etc have shot up. It will be hard during the summer!!

We were exited by this too! By the time we go in summer 2010 it will be almost 3 years since our last trip. We are in full planning and saving mode. :goodvibes

I said that too! Although for us it will be 5 years since our last visit when we finally get there and 2 1/2 years since our last visit to an American Disney resort.

So 2010 people who are in full planning mode in order to try to get excited! Where are you all planning to stay and what other plans are you thinking of making?

We are planning to stay back at the Pop for at least some of our holiday in 2010. We've already booked a Disney cruise for our honeymoon, now we are just planning the rest of the holiday and a Wedding :)

We'll be staying at least one week at AKL. In our past two trips, we've spent one of our two weeks at BCV as my parents have generously donated their DVC points to us. Not sure if that offer will be on the table next year, but if not we may consider booking our second week at one of the Epcot resorts as the proximity to that park is fantastic.

Other than that, I'm going to try not to plan too much. I over-planned the last trip (lots of ADRs, Blues Brothers show, HOB Gospel Brunch, Segway Tour...the list goes on and on) and put a lot of pressure on myself to have the 'perfect' holiday. Next year, my aim will be to relax and go with the flow more instead of seeing and doing it all.

The BCV is my favourite resort and it will be where we are staying on our next trip too, I love it's location and space. We go with our friends so there are 4 of us in a 2 bedroomed villa which is really nice.

We have a few plans so far: The off road segway tour (we have done the Epcot one and the one in the Californian Adventure park at Disneyland and love them), a day at Universal to see the new Harry Potter area, a day out at Kennedy as we did this on our 1st trip and enjoyed it and our friends fancy doing that again. We will be going for Christmas and New Year and my friend and my DH have said we can do the same on Christmas day as we did last time we were there for Christmas; me and my friend go to the Spa at Saratoga Springs for the morning whilst the husbands cook the Christmas dinner back at the BCV!! :woohoo:

As for dining we know we want to book a meal at Victoria and Alberts and we will probably book California Grill for Christmas eve so we can watch the fireworks from the viewing platform there and we will also probably book a meal at the Yachtsmans Steakhouse as we eat there every trip! Oh and we will definately get an icecream from Beaches and Cream.

Piglet, a Disney wedding sounds amazing! Where are you planning on getting married?

We're not planning on going again until OCT 2010 and that all depends on hubby's job, he was made redundant a month ago so lets hope he gets a new job soon.
When we do go we will either be staying at the cabins at FW again or POR or maybe 2 rooms at a value. If hubby gets a good job we will go back to the original plan of staying at the contemporary.
One of my friends and her little girl want to come with us and they have never been before so will have to discuss with them about where they want to stay

We were planning to get back in August 2010 but we have not been able to save much at all. Not sure when we will be going back now :confused3

I keep planning and dreaming though :thumbsup2

Pleased to hear it! Why did you leave!!!!???? Come back, we miss you!!!! :rotfl2:

The best thing about thinking so far in advance is that you can roll with the offers and snap a holiday up as and when it appeals. We're pretty much sold on two weeks at the Yacht Club, a result of a fabulous evening there last September. We're hoping that the free dining will be running again so that's the deal we're waiting for, if it doesn't then we'll be grateful for the extra years saving! ;)

We're also looking at booking at one of the Universal hotels, not too fussed whether it's three/four/five nights, and not particularly fussed about which hotel, but it'll be good to have the access to the FOTL, and also being more convenient to go to the i-drive restaurants and excellent shopping, which we neglected last year due to staying on-site at Disney. :thumbsup2

We are also in same boat , think it will be Jan 2010 by the time we hope to be back at WDW. (my 40th i am going to do the wdw marathon and 1/2 marathon back to back)

Saving and training hard just now, but it seems a long way off , best to be positive guys at least we can plan on going next year not everyone is as fortunate to have been as much as us guys on here.

So dont worry life is for living and next year will be great

Ps i love reading the trip reports of others like the two live reports from the guys over there just now on the uk boards .

The reports just make me feel close to the action and the guys over there are doing a great job sharing the details of their hols with us.:thumbsup2

We are aiming to go back Aug 2010 (DH agreed today:cool1: )
We went twice in 2007, no vists in 2008 and none this year. Youngest DD starts school in September 2010 and I'd like to go for three weeks beforehand (not sure DH will agree to that bit though  ).

Another one here for 2010 :wave2:

Will most probably go for Nov/Dec 2010 and will be staying at SSR. If we're lucky, we may even try and nab a few nights in the tree house villas :yay: But there are no firm plans in place just yet.

Our last trip was in 2006. Hoping that Harry Potter world will be open by the time we go back as really looking forward to that and of course my beloved Disney :)
