Anybody ELSE having this problem with Hotmail today?

I tried to open my email but as soon as I logged on, my browser (I use IE 4 point something or other) kept popping up with a thing saying I was infected with spyware/adware and directing me to a page with tons of spyware removal programs listed as links. It would NOT let me open my email! EVERY time I tried to open my mail, it would do pop up with the 'you're infected' window and go directly to the links page with all the spyware removal programs. I was forced to download a spyware removal program I didn't want and am running it now, even though I doubt I have spyware/adware on my computer. We always have our firewall turned on and I thought the firewall was supposed to PREVENT spyware/adware getting on your PC?

I'm so mad I could spit snails.
