My wife and I with some friends were staying at the Beach Club Villas this past week.
We had just arrived back in the room from being out for the afternoon.
As we were settling in and getting ready to leave the room again for dinner I found a flyer/menu for a local pizza restaurant on the floor in our room about two to three feet from the front door.
This was not there when we arrived back at the room about 10 to 15 minutes earlier.
I looked around the hall and did not see anyone.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Yes, unfortunately it is really easy for non guests to get up on to guest room floors at Disney (as long as it's not Concierge/Club level). It's easy to put all the menus in a backpack and then quickly slide them under the doors. There aren't any cameras in the hallways, so unless they encounter a CM, it's really simple to do.

I have had Pizza menus slipped under my door at Polynesian, Animal Kingdom, BLT, and Saratoga Springs. So yes, this is very common.

And many of those are scams. Don't place an order with one of those flyers.
Good point! I do remember reading about a pizza delivery scam at Disney where you call the number on the flyer, they take your order and credit card number, then no pizza ever arrives!

The reason I mentioned this, this is not the first time this has happened to us; this is probably the third or fourth time. In the past it was brought to the attention to the hotel manager, and we were told they were aware of the issue and were taking care of it.

This past time I did not have time to talk to the manager however the front desk cast member was well aware of the problem when I brought it up to them while checking out.

To me this is a big security issue that need to be addressed.
You are not supposed to be able to get into the resort without either a room reservation or a dinner reservation.
Deliveries are supposed to be to the front desk only and not someone wandering around the resort.

Several years ago good friends were staying at a Disney resort. In the evening when they returned to their room they found a non Disney Pizza menu on their bed.
They called down to the front desk to have the manager come to their room. When he arrived they asked why they(Disney) were allowing people into their room to place the menus in them. The manager said they were not. He told them that probably after you left you room, but before house keeping had arrived to clean their room someone placed the menu under the door. When the housekeeper saw the menu on the floor they may have thought you dropped it and placed it on the bed when they were done cleaning the room. They did not like that answer and told the manager they were going to check their personal belongings to make sure nothing was missing, they also told the manager they did not feel safe in the room anymore and they wanted to be moved to a different resort. Nothing was missing and the manager moved them.

Next trip to Disney, at check in I will be bringing this up with the front desk manager again.

Yes. They shove them under the doors. Happened twice during our Jan20-29 stay at Beach Club Villas. DON"T order from them. Likely a scam. Come to think about it, it was Thursday both times it happened.

Unfortunately, people could park in various locations off property and come in. I mean there is nothing stopping someone from parking at Disney Springs and riding a bus to the resort and walking around everywhere. No one is checking if you are resort guest to enter a resort or even go down hallways. As for checking people at the gates, the only thing they are preventing is people filling their parking lots as they don't have room for extra cars not really security purposes it seems.

Hopefully people still remember that even though its Disney, scammers are still abound and use precaution.

I wish they would lock all of the outer doors 24/7. I know at some resorts they lock at 8 pm. But anyone walking on the pathway to HS can just walk in those side doors at BW. There are no cameras in the halls? I’m surprised.

They actually had a running security alert message on the tv welcome screen in our RIV room about not giving out your credit card over the phone.
