anybody else going early April??

Hi there, im new to the forum, and am really excited as DH said he wants to take our 2 kids(5 and 2.5) and me to Disneyland in the begining of April, we are planing on staying in one of the disney hotels over night,
which one do you think we should stay in?
and go to disneyland for the 2 days, we are not going to bother going to California adventure as DH and i have already done it and think the kids will enjoy 2 days in disneyland more.

has anyone been in April, is it a good time to go?/

Any chance you could change the time of your visit? Easter is April 4th so early April will be busy! Too bad you don't want your kids to experience DCA ~ my kids enjoy it over there, some (bumbershoot) prefer Bugs Land to Fantasy Land; Toy Story Midway Mania is a blast, Soarin', Monsters Inc. are great! I think 3 days *especially during busy spring break time* is always better than 2.

Thanks, Maybe we will stay an extra night and do three days and go to California adventure too, i forgot they had the buzz lightyear stuff, which my son would enjoy!! we are going to go on the thursday and stay overnight and maybe overnight friday, have to talk it over with DH

If World of Color is showing by April, then you MUST go to DCA. The show will be EPIC to say the least. As for the hotel, I think Grand California Hotel is very nice and convenient, and it's my favorite of all the Disneyland hotels.

World of Color is a new nighttime water/light show in DCA. I don't think it will be ready until May...

I would suggest in going to both DL and DCA. You children would love Bugs Life area! One thing to factor in is if your children usually take a nap, if so, that may factor in your time there. (Unfortunately, my triplets, who are 8 now, quit napping at 18 months! I was able to get them to sit and relax on the couch while watching Dora!) Anyhoo, DCA has nice areas where your children would love to explore and fun rides and music, parades that would entertain their senses.
