I have been working on this for the last few hours, yes hours. I think I have come up with some info and a "bandade" but not a fix for the problem. If you are using VMK Pal and continously get that error message, try logging in with Internet Explorer. If you are still having the same problem, it is not VMK Pal, it is something with internet explorer. Try these steps first
1. Clear all cookies and temp files, refresh or close that internet explorer and bring up another copy of it. Then try logging in again
2. Try logging in with firefox. If you still have a problem, see #5 If you are able to log in ok with firefox, go back to internet explorer and check your security settings and temp files again
3. Did you change any security settings in internet explorer
4. Internet connectivity issue - I have noticed that when my DSL gets bogged down and slows down, I can either lose connection with VMK Pal if I am connected or cannot connect if I haven't connected yet. In this case, I reset the DSL modem by unplugging the power for 3 - 5 seconds and plugging it back in. If I get really lazy and don't want to run to the other side of the house to do this, I disconnect from the the internet connection in windows and reconnect.
5. Internet Explorer Security settings are located in the browser itself. Do NOT set them to low security as it doesn't do any good. If you have fooled around with them and don't know where you started, just click on the reset to default radio button, close browser and open another copy of it.
6. Important Note: If you continously try to log in to VMK, it will not let you in for a while. Haven't counted the minutes but it seems to lock you out of logging in. Just walk away from the computer for 5 - 15 minutes and try again. Wouldn't hurt to clear cookies, temp files AND reboot the computer too
