So I finally decided I wanted to lose a little unwanted weight. I have tried dozens of diets, to no avail. Dr. Phil over the last year has really inspired me to get active. I was wondering if anybody else on these board is currently trying his diet?
I have read the first key and have so far agreed with him wholeheartedly. I have seem the results on his show and am hoping for the same.
Has anybody successfully done this?
Thanks - Jo

I have been working on loosing weight for the last year and a half... lost 60lbs by doing weight watchers at home then granny passed away last November and I gained back another 20 of those 60 :o(

Started going to the gym to work out again and just picked up a copy of Dr Phil's book to read out of curiosity and I think I'm doing alot of it already!! But what he says does make alot of sense!!

So kind of yes and kind of no.... I'm just eating healthy, getting lots of exercise and drinking my 5 bottles of water a day (just can't drink water from a glass..... isn't that silly!!lol)

I have his book - and a couple of his other books but to me they are all the same. I start reading them and I fall asleep. Even if I'm not sleeping I start to just read words and nothing sinks in. As much as I like Dr. Phil - I hate his books - he just goes on and on. He makes a lot of sense though (I just wish I could get through the books). I do exercise at Curves (I love it) and on the other days I mall walk. This week I started to do the Curves diet plan which makes a lot of sense. I am trying to blend Dr. Phil with Curves. I have a lot of food allergies so all diets are hard for me - all that great stuff you can eat a lot of, I can't eat any of (boohoo). Anyway good luck with whatever you choose.

I have his book and was just reading it tonight. I just started at WW and want to apply a modification of Dr. Phil and Body for Life diet. Also, it is time for the treadmill and the gym again. I hope to lose 40 lbs before our trip to WDW in March. Email me ChisJo and give me some inspiration!! Good luck to you too - you can do it!

We have both been going to CURVES for almost a year and a half, we joined WW 6 months into the Curves thing. I have lost just a little over 60 pounds, and Laura has lost 70 pounds. We are doing really well (although it seems to me like it is taking SO long!). We have both really cut back on what we were eating. I have alos combined the Curves diet with WW,a nd have switched back and forth between the two. It's hard work, but looking back at old pictures makes it all worth it. And I have vowed that when I reach my goal (as it'll take me longer then my sis) that we will be going to Disney World...that'll make it ALL worth it!

I lost 80 lbs in 1998 and kept it off for a few years. Last year I gained it all back. STRESS! S
