We're flying down from Philly tomorrow morning. Anybody have info on the crowds or the weather? According to Josh (EasyWDW) the crowds get progressively lighter as the week goes on. Thanks!

Arrived Thursday, it has been pretty chilly around high 50s. Today is supposed to he mid-60s. Been wearing long sleeve shirts, sweaters and jeans even during the day. I'm just glad to be out of Philly, so this feels pretty good.

Yeah, the mid 60's sounds great right about now. Still digging out from the 13" of snow this week with more on the way today...

60 degrees sounds amazing right now! We fly down from Philly on Wednesday and I cannot wait! I think layering is going to be the key for the parks. Have a safe flight! :)

Yup layer layer layer. We've been finding that works well right now down here.
We're hearing that it's to be warming up more over the next few days as well but I do think evenings will continue to be on the chilly side.

Safe travels! It surely is nice here even when we're bundled up coming from regular actual temps of minus 25 degrees back home!

Thanks everyone. On a plane in 12 hours! Can't wait...

down here now - it's been jackets/ jeans in the mornings and generally removing jackets in the afternoons. Today was beautiful! By afternoon I was wishing I was in shorts and sandals (instead of jeans and sneakers). Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too - but warmer in the morning than it was today (cloud cover?) so I might wear shorts and jacket and then 'delayer'.

Monday is going to be mid/upper 70's definitely a shorts day! By Wednesday it will be getting cold again (another cold front).

Yep, bring layers and gloves(and maybe a hat. I was very thankful for my gloves several mornings and evenings this week. WDW sells the black stretchy ones (that are $1 at Walmart) for $9.95! Today was gorgeous!

I'm here for the weekend. I was at MK from 9:30-1 and AK the rest of the day. Today really was beautiful, but it got up in the mid 60s, and I was a bit warm in my sweater and jeans, and I'm a native Floridian. Earlier in the morning I had an extra cardigan and scarf, but those weren't needed.

The crowds weren't bad. As an AP-holder, I've been using FP+ since about August, and this is my first time not pulling any legacy FPs, and it feels weird. Waited about 20 mins for Speedway around 10:30 and 20 for Buzz after that. When I arrived at AK at 1:30, Safari was at a 40-min wait, and it stayed there until close. I had my FP+ for it, got on around 4:30 and saw the male lion being active and he was roaring, which was really cool.

Hope you have a great trip!

We're AP holders too - used the FP+ system in Nov and this trip.

Yesterday - we only used one of our FPs - for the Safari. The one for the Mickey/Minnie meet in AK wasn't needed (met them standby with a minimum wait. Skipped Kali RR so didn't used that one either.

I'm looking forward to being able to use FP at different parks for us that would be the best.

We didn't use the scheduled FP for meeting Mickey and Minnie because when I tried to change the time around 1, it told me there were no alternate times. I'm at Epcot today and when I tried to change Mission Space, guess what - no available times. There are only 3 members in our party, and this is the first time I've been unable to change times the day of. Last month, during what I considered a much busier time of the year, we changed our selections from MK to DHS around 1pm and had no troubles, including getting TSMM. Is the system being glitchy for me, or is it just going to be next to impossible now that offsite people have access as well? Guess we'll see.

I think it is the addition of offsiters that is reducing the ability to change FP times same day. I've been stalking the system every day, and the difference since the 1/23 removal of paper FP has been significant. MS and Soarin have been gone by 1:00 each day I've checked. Today, TSMM, RNRC, and ToT were all gone by 1:00 or so. The only potential bright spot is that availability is constantly changing, so even if a ride is gone, if you check back in 15 minutes, something might be available. My guess is this is due to other guests moving or cancelling their reservations. It's a pain to keep checking your phone or the kiosks, but it might allow you to get the FP you want. And as someone mentioned on another thread, it is normally easier to get the FP for the headliners if you change your party size to one, make the FP, and then add everyone else back in. It's not foolproof, but I've seen in work.

I agree We've tried to change a few FP on the day of without success - until today - yup on a somewhat chilly day we were able to move our Kali RR FP up by about 30 minutes - granted it was a walk on when we went ROFL so not exactly a lot of competition for that one.

Lines IMO are longer for some things like Spaceship Earth - we saw one today that called itself 20 minutes but looked a lot longer than that - line was beyond the ropes and heading towards the rest of FW. Walking towards the Land we saw the wait time was up to 30 minutes - who waits 30 minutes for Spaceship Earth?

We changed 4 days worth of FP+ after we arrived with no problem but that was changing them before the 'day of'. I think once you're on "day of" you are going to have a harder time changing anything now - just IMO

DH and the kids were at Epcot today and originally I couldn't book MS so I booked something else and then went in and was able to pick from only 2 times for MS for a party of 4. There are several large tour groups there today so I'm guessing that is the issue. They likely booked Soarin and Mission Space as they could all ride single rider if needed for TT.
