Anybody been to the Camelot lately?

I was wondering if anyone had been to the Camelot lately? I have a family suite with one king and two queens reserved, however, I am getting scared because of some recent reviews on trip advisor.

I also have reservations at Park Vue, but that room only has two queens and a bunkbed. Our family was really looking forward to the extra room(Camelot suite is double the Park Vue size!). It seems that PVI never gets negative reviews, but the Camelot has had more than its fair share this fall.

Any input from recent stays? Thanks

I think every hotel has negative reviews. I find most of the positive reviews on PVI are all based on it being directly across the street. I can't find more than 1 video on YouTube about it. I like to be able to see all around the hotel before deciding to stay there. Odd there are no videos of it.

PVI is nothing special other than being right across the street. We have stayed there multiple times, rooms are clean, staff is friendly, cannot beat location. Have not stayed there since 2015, so this may not be all that relevant. They have hot breakfasts, nothing spectacular, but hot. Pool is in parking lot and small.

I cannot give you an honest review of Camelot because we stayed there about 15 years ago when our kids were small and vowed never to stay there again despite any updates to the place.

I think reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt and compare them to what’s important to you. Like sometimes I’ll see reviews for a place that complains about WiFi and that isn’t important to me. I’d rather have a comfy bed and nice sheets, stuff like that. I haven’t stayed at Camelot but I’ve stayed at PVI twice and it works for us because when we go to DL, we stay all day and just use the room to sleep. I love being so close and being the first motel at the crossing at the end of a long day when I feel like I can’t walk anymore. Also the free parking is great if you’re driving, most places charge extra for that.

I agree about the reviews....When i first booked to stay at HOJOS i was reading the reviews and it seems that majority were negative reviews and i was so nervous about staying there and fully expected a dump when we arrived but to my suprise we loved it, were not too fussy either as long as the place is clean im fine with that.
We have booked to stay at the Camelot this time round for the space factor, we have also booked the King Suite 25th January, i can let you know how it really is then.

Just got back from a stay at the Camelot and really enjoyed it. There were 6 of us (5 adults) in the family suite and everyone had plenty of room to move around. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy and staff was friendly and helpful.
