We just returned from our first cruise with the baby (Carnival Glory 8/6/05) and we had such a good time we want to cruise again this December after our DVC-WDW trip. Initially we were priced out of this cruise since I began checking so late -- I could not believe how expensive it was -- so we booked a RCCL cruise. But then DU had one group space open up at a great price so I placed a deposit right away! DH and I have always wanted to try a DCL cruise but we never did -- previous cruises on RCCL and Carnival only -- because DCL was always much more expensive for a similar size cabin/itinerary. We are just giddy with joy with this booking!
The only blah point right now is the fact that we have late seating.
DS will be 20 months this December; he is well behaved and loved the formal dining experience on our recent Glory cruise -- we ate as a family in the dining room all 7 nights as well as a few breakfasts and lunches. DS gets his bath around 7 to 7:15 pm and he sleeps by 7:45 pm and we want to eat together, so if we cannot be switched to early seating it means we will miss out on the rotational dining experience. Right now I can only keep my fingers crossed that we'll come off the waitlist, though I'm not optimistic given how late we booked. There is a part of me that is very hesitant to pay the balance when due because of the uncertainty of the dining time situation; but DH is willing to chance it and just go alternative dining each night.
