Any writers out there? I need invitation wording help!

If there are any creative minds out there who are up to a challenge, here it is:

I'm planning a dessert party bridal shower, but I'm having trouble wording the invitation. Google is turning up nothing, and I do want to make the invites myself, not just buy premade cards from hallmark.

Anyone have a good quote or cute wording for an invitation to a dessert party bridal shower.

I was trying to go off of the idea of "Love is sweet.... then inside: Join us for some sweets in honor of XXXXX's wedding."

Does anyone have any good ideas with that theme? It doesn't have to be love is sweet, anything that times in desserts will work.

Here is my 2 cents. I like your idea and think desserts that begin with the initials of the bride and groom to be would be cute.

As in:

Love is sweet.....

join us for a sugary celebration of the upcoming union of 2 hearts.

(initials) C B A

with images of the matching desserts underneath instead of names for artsy flair such as below.

Creme Brulee Brownies Apple Pie

Then be more plain on the bottom so as not to confuse the guests:

Dessert only Bridal Shower for : -----------
Date: -----
Time: -----
Location: --------
RSVP : your name by ----------
