And I heard from a couple CMs who live on the island that things were OK, certainly not nearly as bad as feared initially. So I guess we can start packing now-after all, it's "only" 2 more months till we're there.

I'm in a FB group for DHHI. Fortunately, the damage is minimal and the delay in reopening is primarily due to the people who evacuated needing to get resettled more than the resort needing repairs before opening.
