Any word of Toy Story Character meal?

Personally, I would love to see a Toy Story meal as I think it appeals to boys and girls of all ages. ;) I also think that if this was offered, many of the boys in the younger age group would maybe want to dress up as their favourite hero. :) I mean they see little girls dressed up in the parks all the time, so why couldn't they dress up too if they wanted?

I don't understand why they think it would be just boys going. My DD3 loves the Toy Story characters and doesn't have a brother. She keeps asking me if she can eat with McQueen. I keep trying to tell her that cars won't fit inside and she still keeps asking.:lmao:

It would be nice to have a meal geared towards little boys. My son would LOVE it. I think the PP who mentioned the expensive dresses and accessories for Princesses hit the nail on the head though.

There will be a pirate makeover place opening up for little boys and a new pirates meal to go with it opening at MK. At least that was the plan as of this summer info from a cm.... but who knows with the way the economy is going.:confused3 I hope it happens from a Mom of boys!:thumbsup2

Gosh - that would be great! Let's keep our fingers crossed!
We are huge Toy Story fans! We have 2 cats named Woody & Bizz. Our six year old son is trying to talk us into another or possibly a dog so he can name it Bullseye!

oh you would have to name the dog slinky but is soooooo cute

even i would love a toy story meal and im 19 dbf is 22 and sure he would go and my cousin is 26 and loves buzz he wud deff be there lol none of us are found of character meals but i love pixar i cant believe they dont have something with all the new pixar things in HS

i do agree that the characters getting around would be a night mare squeezing in between tabels espcially buzz and if they were to do pixar sully would have trouble too

but deff think they shud :thumbsup2

My DD still loves toy story! She has rotated around from Buzz to Woody to currently Jessie. She would LOVE a toy story meal!

Since Buzz is so large I would put him in the entry for a photo like Belle at Akerhaus and then let the others circulate the room.

My Grandson would like a Power Ranger meal........ Helloooooo...... Disney are you listening..... Toy STory.... Power Ranger ...?

Here here to more boys themed activities/character meals. Also a mother of two boys. They wouldn't think to set foot at a princess meal:lmao:

If they think it will be too boy oriented then why not throw in jessy or bo-peep. Two characters that girls would love.

In July we did 1900 Park Fair OMG loved the stepsisters....and the castle for me. My boys had a blast!! I would do 1900 Park Fair again in a heartbeat. The castle not so much. I am glad we did it but the character interaction was just ok. The food was good (lunch) but expensive. IMO They actually loved the attention they got from the princesses.

By the time they finally add this breakfast, my boys will be too old to want to attend it. Thumbs Down to Disney on not really taking boys into consideration enough when it comes to some things. Gawd, I hate saying anything negative about Disney, but this has irked me.

I am a mom of 3 girls and honestly have not given any thought to this before, but WOW, you are so right. They really should do this (and boys like costumes, make them and I am sure they will sell). Anyway, my girls all love Pixar movies as much as any princess movies (which they love a lot!) They too would love to see a Toy Story &/or Pixar meal. Someone should really suggest that to Disney. They need some more good restaurants in HS.

When I announced two months ago we're giong to Disney in April 2009, my DS ran right out of our living room and when I asked where he was going (thinking 'guess he didn't hear me say we're going to Disney' :confused3 or he just doesn't care:scared1: ) turns and says "I'm getting my Buzz costume out! I asked why and he said (like I'm an idiot) So I can wear it to Disney! :)

I said Honey, we're not going for almost a whole year. "I know. But I want to be ready! Allison can dres like a princess and I can be Buzz Lightyear and Jace (his cousin who is also going) can wear my Woody costume!"

Disney's losing some money here. There are LOTS of little boys' mommies out here who are spending a fortune on these costumes year after year and who would gladly fork out $$$ for a character meal!

I didn't read the whole thread, so I don't know if this was mentioned, but....

Today at 1pm, Disney will make a major announcement in NYC regarding Disney parks. Go to allearsnet.com after 1pm to see what it was.

Maybe it will have something to do with a new character meal. I always thought they would start a Pirate character meal, but No one knows for sure but it is exciting.

That is all my son would need, he would be walking on cloud 9 :cloud9: if they had a Toy Story dinner. Buzz rules in our house!:worship:

. . . a character meal geared for boys for a long time! Wonder why they think it would have limited draw?

1) It is a simple fact.
2) Parents pay big bucks to treat girls, but not boys.
. . . just look at the ludicrous prices for BBB!
. . . when do parents pay up to $250 for a boy's haircut and outfit?
. . . what is the girl/boy ratio at overly-priced princess meals?

Why wouldn't parents of boys pay big bucks to treat their children too???

I would! :goodvibes

This would be so awesome if they did that! Both my DS and DD love Toy Story. DS was Buzz for Halloween 3 years in a row and his entire room is Buzz. Until I read this post, I never really thought about this.:scratchin Good thread!:flower3:

I was on the boards a couple of years ago when the Toy Story meal was planned. There were people from the Dis calling every day to see when we could get ADRs. We were pretty sure we knew the date it was opening. But then, it all fell through. Or so we thought, maybe it was never really in Disney's plans. :lmao: I will say the thread was crazy!

So I am 16 and i absolutely LOVE Toy Story :lovestruc(Woody is my favorite) for my 2nd Christmas i got a woody doll and would not let go of it. My entire family would love if they made a Toy Story character meal!!! We all cried at the end of TS3!! I would wear a cowboy hat and put on a yellow and brown plaid shirt and a vest, strap on a holster (with no gun of course) and put on my cowboy boots for this meal!!
