Any Wii's out there??????

Ok, so call me stupid, but I have only been looking at these online as a bundle thing. When we HOPEFULLY get these at the stores in the morning, will they be the sports ones? That is the one that my DH would ideally like...I am just wondering if I should put an IOU under the tree.

The sports disk comes standard with the unit for the $249.99 price.

Our local Circuit City and EBX said they will have them early in the morning. A friend of mine had a horrible experience at Circuit City last night and the teenage employee who was involved followed her to the parking lot and threated to kick her a.. The store manager told her if he could do anything to make it up to her please let him know. She asked to have one of the Wiis put aside for her. He said he would do it, we'll see. If so, it will be for my sons.

I scored this friend a PS3 on Thursday at EBX. I was in the store when the shipment arrived.

Our ad says a minimum of 15 per store. Target, Best Buy, KMart, ToysRUs and Circuit City all have them advertised, only Best Buy lists a minimum, which apparantly varies by region. Good luck everyone.
Contrast the Best Buy minimum of 15/store for our area tomorrow with the fact that these same stores had > 100/store on launch weekend - that makes me wonder if there will be a fairly small number of these around Sunday..... Hate to say it but I'd get there REAL early if you MUST have one (wonder if people will be camping out).
Good luck!

According to a chart in an earlier post the Target closest to us should have 60 Wii's. Now we live 40 minutes away from the store. So what time should we get there? I will not camp out. But I was thinking about 5:30 or so. I really have a problem with missing Church to go and try to get a unit. But if we don't get a number we would at least make it for services. My DS17 really wants one and has saved his summer job money to buy a Wii. He is going to be a minister and sort of has the same problem with missing Church that I do. This is making me crazy.

I signed up with www.nintendofinder.com They scour websites and send you an e-mail when someone's Wii stock changes. It's because of this I was able to get one of the bundles at Etoys.com and it came in the mail about a week ago! :thumbsup2 It costs 6 dollars I believe to sign up and I found it to be completely worth it.

I just left Best Buy and there are 4 people camped out already. I'm glad I got mine the day after Thanksgiving. Good luck tomorrow everyone!

I was at our Best Buy at 10:30 This morning and talk to the manager and they have 10 wii's for tomorrow and 15 people already camped out that early.
I came home and sat my kids down and explained to them They we aren't able to get one this year. They were disappointed but understood. But atleast i tried.

I received this in my e-mail today from my Nintendo Finder service:

For those of you that haven't yet discovered "Amazon Customers Vote" this season, and for those of you that have but aren't keeping an eye on it, Amazon is running an extensive promotion related to the sale of Nintendo Wii and PS3 systems.

We highly advise all subscribers to visit the Amazon.com product page for the Wii and click on the link that says "See Details" next to the "Amazon Customers Vote Candidate" box. You will be given information on how to sign up for a lottery system that may provide you the opportunity to obtain a PS3 or a Wii at retail price from Amazon this coming week. They claim excellent odds of success, but that is obviously to be determined.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.h...layst-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325

Again, look for the "Amazon Customers Vote Candidate" image and text area on the page, and click the link that says "See Details".

Basically you have nothing to lose, and if the odds end up being as good as Amazon claims, it's worth a shot.

Thanks,

-PSF Team

I went on and signed right up...and I called my best friend and asked her to vote for us too...I wish I had more friends that could help me out...I am sure if the voting was going on till Monday I could rustle people up at work, but unfortunately you need to vote by tomorrow night...I wish though they were letting us know sooner then Tuesday, but according to them you can do two day shipping (will cost about $15) and still get it for the holidays...could I be so lucky? I HOPE SO!

Can I vote for you? I just went on and read it but I didn't see how to vote...I guess I'm a little confused.

AN FYI about KMart, I called all three in the area, and all three are NOT selling them tomorrow, they already have disclaimers on the doors. So call before you make the trip. My target would not confirm anything :confused3 The secrecy is ridiculous really. Just tell how many you have and don't make these people wait in line when they hve no chance. I thought I would go somewhere, but I am sticking to my plan and waiting for after Christmas.

Good luck to all those who are going :thumbsup2

You can go onto Amazon.com and vote for either the Wii, PS3 20gb or PS3 60gb and then on Tuesday you can check back and see if you have "won" the chance to buy whichever you voted for.

So I "essentially" have two votes, ours and then my friends.

It is kinda nice because they have limited it to accounts through Amazon that were opened before like December 11th, so you can't go on and create 10 new accounts to be able to get votes.

So I am keeping my fingers crossed. I gave up my plan to my DH about getting one which takes SOME of the fun out of it.

My son already headed to Target to try and get a WII for my nephews... we know they will have 8 systems. They will hand out vouchers tomorrow morning at 7am.
