I stumbled across them on CVS's facebook wall. They're like eSavers and Zavers for your store loyalty cards. CVS just joined up with them.

You add your store loyalty card numbers to your account and then choose your coupons from what they have available. The difference between them and eSavers etal. is that they rebate your coupon savings to you instead of it coming off your total at the register. Once you reach $5, you can request your refund by Paypal, echeck, amazon egift card or a donation to AmericanForests.org.

It looks like they are a spin off from Upromise. Has anyone signed up with them? Do they credit your account quickly? I know that with Upromise, it seems as if my credits are "pending" for a pretty long time. And how good are they about sending you your rebates?

From my understanding, this program has only been around a short time(1-2 months). I signed up about 3 weeks ago with my Kroger and Food Lion cards. I "used" one of the ecoupons($1 for Heinz vinegar) about 2 1/2 weeks ago. It still hasn't shown up in my SavingStar account. I don't have a upromise account, but from what I have read and been told, Savingstar is run the same way. In fact, if you have both a upromise account and a savingstar account you can only use the ecoupon on one account, not both.

Kycha - I work for SavingStar - rewards can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to post depending on the retailer. If it's already been over 3 weeks, please go to the 'Contact Us' page on the SavingStar site and send information on what you purchased, when & where and our customer service team will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using SavingStar!

Okay. Thanks Neal!

How does this work with Kroger, since they now take e-coupons off first and don't even give you the option of using a paper coupon? Will these rebates count as an e-coupon?

Gina - the SavingStar eCoupons are independent of other printed or electronic coupons and will work. Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for shoppers to redeem more than one coupon for the same purchase.

Thanks Neal! It's not that I want them to take both an e-coupon and a paper coupon for one item -- It's that now, since their boneheaded rule change, if you have an e-coupon loaded on your Kroger card at all it automatically comes off -- even if you had a paper coupon you would have rather used instead. If SavingStar doesn't cancel out my paper coupons, then that's awesome. :goodvibes
