Any WDW restaurants you won't return to?

Very well said!
I have eaten at RFC every single time I have been to WDW as an adult... the one in DTD and the one in DAK. I have eaten at many, many places in WDW more expensive than RFC. I think the food quality is fantastic and have always received perfect service there. I'm sorry you have had some bad experiences... but if you go at peak times during peak days/seasons, then you're always going to have that happen, no matter what restaurant you are at. :duck:

Thanks for your feedback. As I said in my review, it was just my opinion and I was sure that others would have different experiences. But I did want to clarify that none of my RFC experiences was during a particularly peak time/day/season. No need to duck!

I don't have a restaurant I would boycott, but I will say this...
I will NEVER order the salmon anywhere on WDW property again...except possibly AP (although I think I'd pick another dish there, too). The past 2 years I've gone, I've gotten about the worst salmon I've ever had anywhere (with the possible exception of one place in Plymouth). This past trip, I got some smoked salmon for a bagel at Starring Rolls in MGM...I got so sick I had to hit the First Aid station for pepto bismol. The salmon problem is at almost all restaurants I've ordered it at, even restaurants I love and will return to.

I probably wouldn't go as far as to say I'll never eat there again, but I was really, really disappointed with Spoodles.
We ate there for the first time on our last trip. I was really looking forward to it. Friends of ours raved about it and I'd read lots of good reviews.
We enjoyed our appetizers, although our main dishes were all very overseasoned. The service wasn't too good either. It wasn't busy at the time we ate and our server was very inattentive and it took him a long time to get our food and refills to us.
I would probably give it another shot, but definately won't go out of my way to eat there again.

We did, however, really enjoy both Sci-Fi (lunch) and Ohana (dinner) - we had amazing service at both places, the food was good and both had really fun atmospheres.

I plan on dining at many of the places listed here during our Oct. trip and none of it scares me :-)

Chef Mickey's (dinner) and ABC Commissary are mine.

There are a couple I wouldn't return to for service issues, namely Ohana and CRT, but the food wasn't that bad.

For us Wolf Gang Puck Cafe is #1 on our would not return list. In 06 it was our last meal before we boarded the plane and it was horrible. The ABC Commissary is another that couldn't even get the burgers right, as well as Rosies and last but not least Chef Mickey's.

Now Chef Mickey's really disappointed us this year because it was something we had really enjoyed last year, and it had become our first night ritual. The food wasn't good at all and the character interaction wasn't what it once was. There were people who would come and get infront of the characters as soon as we were the next table in line. And once they would arrive at our table they would stay for about 1 minute and then they were off. So our entire family with the exception of our DD have decided to give it up, and find a new first night tradition. But, after reading this thread and others I know for sure that it won't be San Angel Inn.

PS I don't know how I could have forgotten but, we will never return to Mama Melrose again. The food wasn't that bad this time around but our entire group became sick after eating there. First my daughter threw up at the table. The waitress and manager continued to ask us was she sick. Well after cleaning her up we left the restaurant, and sat outside for a little while. The woman that was called to clean up after DD, comes out and asked us if she was alright and we began to have a conversation with her. Well she let us know that on that particular day she had been there about 7 times to clean up because so many people had become sick during their meal there. When we got back to our hotel all of us including DD broke out in hives.:scared:
I wouldn't eat there again if they paid me ever. So beware of Mama Melrose.

I don't have any "never again" restaurants, but The Yak and Yeti is definitely a disapointment. Like a previous poster that didn't like it, I am not picky at all, but that food was very blah for a TS restaurant. Our waiter was pretty clueless (maybe he was new) and I have had much better food at Chinese buffets. I'll probably give it one more shot later on since it's new, but not if I have to wait more than 5 minutes for a table, lol.

For me, I will never return to:

Flying Fish - I've given this place plenty of shots and still feel disappointed each time I have gone there

Crystal Palace - Tried Dinner Twice, Breakfast Once and each time it was gross. The only thing I enjoyed was the cinnamon rice & the prime rib.

My fiance prefers to never return to Prime Time Cafe.

WCC - We didn't have any really bad food anywhere, but this wasn't good (except for the banana/caramel/ice cream dessert, which was fabulous!). I just don't think that we would eat here again unless we were staying at WL, and, for some reason, thought that we needed a TS meal. Even when we ate here 10 years before when we stayed at WL, I couldn't believe that WCC was a "destination" restaurant (people who weren't staying at WL traveled to the WL just to eat at WCC).

CRT - Like others have said, we've done it once, the "show" felt a bit rushed, and the food was average. I'm a tad worried because, although we took DD6 and DD2, I'm afraid that when DD2 is 5 or 6 or 7, she won't remember eating here and will have to do it again!

BTW, I loved Le Cellier, but then I had the only veg meal (I'm a vegetarian) and it was fabulous! DH had a steak, and, comparing it to the one he had at the now closed restaurant in Italy (name escapes me), he really liked the Le Cellier steak. (I wouldn't say loved, but he enjoyed it).

Great thread!

DH and I will probably not return to Biergarten or California Grill. Food at Biergarten looked a lot better than it tasted! We were disappointed in California Grill, which we felt was not worth the money! The restaurant was noisy, the service was slow, and my filet was tough and overcooked. It was too much money for what we experienced! That said, our best meal on our last trip was at Brown Derby, which was expensive but worth every penny!

We definitely have to go with Rosie's at the Studios. The burger my husband had made Micky D's look like gourmet food :scared1:.

We have always LOVED everything we have eaten at LeCellier. We book dinner there every trip.

This trip (Dec 19-26) changed our minds for a while.....

I guess the cheese soup, pretzel breadsticks and creme brulee were worth it - because they were delish!

LOL...this really makes me chuckle because when Le Cellier wasn't so busy I used to walk up (mostly around 3pm) and this is exactly what I would order! By the time tax and tip were added it still cost me as much as a reasonably good dinner off property...but I was at Disney, it was convenient, it satisfied my hunger, and it was exactly what I loved and enjoyed the most about eating at Le Cellier!

I'm from Iowa so what others rave about (to me) is an ordinary steak from the butcher's meat window here. Don't get me wrong...the steaks (in my experience over a twenty year span) at Le Cellier are excellent, but I crave the things I can't get as easily at home...i.e. the cheese soup, pretzel bread and maple creme brulee.

1. Cape May Buffet
2. Boma
3. Mama Melrose

I won't say never, but not in a rush to get back to Grand Floridian Cafe'. I was all set to order the roasted chicken but our waiter suggested the prime rib and I fell for it. It was dry and not done enough for me. I didn't even eat half. And this was our last night there. Maybe I shouldn't have listened to him, and it would have turned out better??? I will never know. At least not any time soon. I will just need to find another place where I can get some Chocolate Fondue w/fruit. popcorn::

OMG...the Grand Floridian Cafe is the one restaurant in which I have been consistently served superior food by excellent waitstaff for breakfast and lunch. You should have said something to your waiter...I'm sure he would have fixed it immediately.

Speaking of Rainforest DTD, we actually planned a meal there this last trip. We've been to RFC DTD several times and its never been impressive. Always a LONG wait, VERY expensive to me, food was mediocre at best (for the price) and service was always SLOW. So, we pretty much knew what to expect. But this time...

We arrived and were told almost a 2 hour wait (not surprised) but right after we'd checked in at the podium they asked if there was a party of 5 or 6 who would like immediate seating on the patio. As we'd been to RFC before we said we'd take it. Being seated immediately was much better than waiting to see animatronic animals! So we took the table. It was a gorgeous night outside and the patio is right on the lake on DTD. The breeze was wonderful and the view was great. Our server was fantastic and the food was actually VERY GOOD! We were so happy with our meal there this time. And would go back AND ASK FOR PATIO SEATING!!

There's pretty much no place on our NEVER AGAIN list as we never say never. But there are a few that we've not been in a rush to get back to/won't be in a rush to go back:
--Coral Reef (haven't been back since our 1999 honeymoon)
--San Angel Inn (haven't been back since our first trip in Jan. 98)
--Flame Tree BBQ (we went again this past trip and it just wasn't good. Tried it 3 times now. 1st time was fantastic, last 2 have been...well...not so good)
--Cindy's (haven't been back since 1st trip in 1998)
--Liberty Tree (dinner--not impressed)
