I am not if all of u know the story with DH and I sooo i will re-tell it again BRIEFLY...10 years ago...DH and were wed at the county courthouse,,,,,however,,,courthouse has LOST our records.UGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!I cannot get a copy of my narriage license because it TECHNIALLY never happend.I have kept my maiden name for all this time because i chose to,NOW I WANNA change my name,,welll i cant cuz there is no records..........DH and I have discussed this and had wanted to renew our vows anyway after 10 years,Welll..we have had some struggles over the years but we love each other very much.and we have decided to just get married again .BUT a wedding at WDW is wwwaaayyyy out of our budget,,,any ideas?thanks!!!!!!

Well, there's the Swan. Or, you can rent a suite at WDW and hire an officiant and throw yourself a wedding in the suite. You can either use private dining for the food or pick up deli trays at the supermarket. Use flowers from say Sam's Club or order silk online.

Here's another idea althought I dont know exactly what your buget is, but my Prince and I cant afford a Disney wedding either so booked our ceremony at the Wyndham Palace resort and spa in downtown disney. I can not wait!

DH and i couldn't afford the whole Disney shebang when we were married. but we did find a nice little wedding chapel in the Kissimmee area! we were married at the chapel and honeymooned at WDW. i still used Disney cosmetology for my hair but we spent a fraction of what we would have spent on the Disney wedding!

the couple who run the chapel are delightful...they're from the UK, i believe. we had a nice little ceremony, no guests, and paid maybe $500 total for the wedding, including pictures and copies of the ceremony on DVD, cake, and champagne. they have all sorts of packages as well...

My fiance and I couldn't afford a Disney Wedding but we are getting married at Cypress Grove Park about 15 miles north of Disney and honeymooning at Disney. I contacted Terri @ Orlando Weddings and she is taking care of everything for us. They have wedding packages that includes the cake, the flowers, the limo, the place, the officiant and more. You should check it out on www.orlandoweddings.com and see what you think. We have been very pleased with her performance.

You don't have to have all that but it would make it a little more special. You can have whatever you want. She will take care of everything. I think all you have to have is your i.d. and there is no waiting period if you don't live in FL. We are going to Jacksonville to get our marriage license on April 22nd (DH2B's birthday). I can let you know.

Posted this before and this is what we are doing.

We had planned on doing a Disney vow renewal, but decided against it because of the cost and value. Instead, we are staying at the Grand Floridian Sugar Loaf Concierge, but having the ceremony off Disney property. Our ceremony will be at Leu Gardens @ 11:30 AM. After the ceremony, we are having tea at the Garden View Lounge at the GF, followed later by a dinner at Citricos. It will be just the 5 of us(DH, DS-15, DD-14 & DD-3). I estimate that the cost of the minister(Rev. Tim), photographer(Randy Chapman), flowers(Wedding Flowers by Blossom), facility rental fee(for Leu Gardens) tea, dinner and wedding cake will be approximately $1450.00. This of course does not include the room at Gf, dress or tuxes, shoes, hair and make-up by Disney Cosmetology.
I booked everything individually myself. It is much cheaper that way, rather than working with a planner.
This was the right choice for us and for our budget.

Florida requires a photo ID (Driver's License, Military ID, Passport) of each person applying for the marriage liscense. They have a 3 day waiting period ONLY for Florida residents, non-residents will recieve thier liscense the same day. If you have been divorced within the last year, you must show proof of divorce. I recommend bringing your divorce decree no matter what, just in case.

Orange Country Clerk of Courts This website is a FAQ of wedding application questions. It is for Orange County, but all counties in Florida adhere to the same rules.

Also, you do not need to apply in Orange County, tho that is where Disney is, you can apply anywhere in the state. We applied in Collier county, which is where Bri's parents live, and brought the license up with us for the wedding.

I have a quick question...when you were married at the courthouse, they didn't give you and DH a few copies of your marriage license??? That's weird! DH and I were also married in a courthouse back in May of 1991 and after our ceremony, the judge gave us the original copy of our license and then three other copies for whatever we needed them for...to show military that DH and I were wed before they paid for my trip to Alaska, to change my DL license over, get new SS card...etc. I don't have those other copies any longer, but I most certainly have my original, on the wall, where I ALWAYS know where it is.
I hope everything works out for you. Like you DH and I want to renew our vows for our 15th next year, but a Disney vow renewal is out of the question, so we are just doing it here on one of the beaches in Pensacola and then "honeymooning" once again in Disney.

We are getting married on a budget aswell in September. Not exactly Disney but it is the Wyndham palace resort and Spa. We dont have many people going so we are keeping it a small affair less than 8 at the minute possibly 6.
