Anyone know the status of the refurb of SE? I love it and am looking forward to the new, possibly Horizons-like version. Any word on the narrator(s), music,, story line?

Thanks.

Rumored narrator is Patrick Stewart.

Last i heard, Bruce Broughton was contracted to compose the score. He's also done Ellen's Energy Adventure and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience amoung many other Disney projects.

The vehicles have been seen fitted with their new TV screens. wether they are touchscreen or not remains to be seen.

Permits have been filed to rework the high pressure steam FX from the newsboy and roman scenes.

A casting agent report was searching for the voice of the paper boy, but suggesting he'd be in a civil war period scene.

The signs on the sides as you enter SSE, the main marquees, have been removed. New LED-lit signage is supposed to replace it.

A heap of debris was photographed outside the structure, resembling lighting bafles and yolks for lighting instruments. This implies the lighting system was completely overhauled.

That's all we know so far.

Thanks for the info! Are the ride vehicles new or just updated?

The ride vehicles I believe are going to be the same, but have video screens retrofitted into them:

The stupid board says I have too low a post count to post a picture, so just copy that into your location bar and hit enter.

yep they are carting them in twos on trucks over to the warehouse behing magic kingdom to get their overhaul.

A good friend of mine swears that she is aware of a new recording of "Tomorrow's Child." That would be great IMHO, but I'll believe t when I see it.

Please, please please let it be open by November 16.....

Anyone know when this is supposed to be done? I hope it's before DH and I head down there.

I guess they are aiming for the week after Thanksgiving, but rumor is that's pretty much not going to happen... I've heard more realistically it might not be until January. I guess we'll see though.
