Any trouble adding kids onto Orbitz reservations?

The only thing I still wonder about our my dining ADRs. They all still show up with a credit card guarantee in my MDE, but I saw one poster said that they would have to call Disney to relink the dining reservations with the new Orbitz room reservation. I am hoping that there's no more calling to do, and since they still exist in MDE that they are still really there. I just am nervous since I've never not booked directly through Disney.

Dining reservations don't need to be linked to a room. If they're still in MDE, you're fine.

Make sure they have your children's names spelled correctly. I didn't have them read them back to me when I spelled them for the Orbitz agent, and my oldest's showed up spelled incorrectly on MDE. It was another phone call and wait to get it corrected--but now it's all good.
 
If your child(ren) didn't show up in MDE after you called Orbitz to add them, did they eventually show up later, or did you have to call again? Mine isn't showing up, but I only called about an hour ago.

Okay so I called Disney, she transferred me to technical support for MDE (??), he contacted wholesale and was able to add my son. So I have NO idea what Orbitz did when he said he called Disney, but my child definitely wasn't added. All fixed now, woohoo!

The 2 year old is an "infant" so if I recall correctly, they don't count. To answer your other question, yes you can link your dining and FP+ to your My Disney Experience account and link them to your magic bands!
 
The first person I had on the phone had no idea what to do. He told me that Disney said no I would be charged. He then told me to cancel and rebook (um NO) he put me back on hold for another 5 mins and then hung up on me. :lmao:

I called back and got someone else who seemed to understand me better and am currently on hold. We will see how this goes.

*UPDATE* Still on hold. It has now been 15mins. I can't believe this is so darn hard.

Okay, after 25 mins I got it all done. :) I love saving money so I guess it was worth the little hassle I had to go through

The first person I talked to hung up on me, too. I had four reservations and had to make four calls. I just linked my kids in MDE as some where simply listed as "child" and other agents spelled my kids' names incorrectly.

It was worth saving lots of money, though!

I had the same problem. The agent told me to cancel and rebook at a higher rate. I declined and went online and added 2 to my reservation through Orbitz's online chat. She gave me a new confirmation number and when I went on my Disney account and put it in, there were 2 adults and two children listed! :thumbsup2
 
We are planning to book 11/18-11/21 @ POR in a royal guest room. Was hoping to wait to book until next month. Do any of you think they will be booked full by then. I wouldn't think so, but I've never stayed onsite before. Want to take advantage of the ORBITZ offer but cant afford to pay in full right now.

The deal with the Orbitz is that it's the Disney Summer discounts PLUS the extra 20% off. That is what makes it spectacular. Disney will likely release Fall discounts later in the Summer. So the disadvantage to booking next month is that you potentially miss out on a Disney fall discount. Of course if you wait, the 20% off coupon might not be good anymore. So you will likely end up with just one discount (not two like it is now).
