Any tricks to saving for Universal (gift card discounts?)

I use my Target Red Card to get 5% off of Disney gift cards. Is there any similar trick for Universal? I really want to give the kids Universal gift card for Christmas because we are going to WWHP a week after Christmas. I'd love to know if there are any discounts I am missing.

I haven't found any discounted Universal gift cards anywhere but you can get discounted Landrys gift cards through Verizon Smart Rewards and Costco. You can then use them for dinner at Bubba Gumps.

What a great holiday surprise for them!
Sam's Club travel services still sells discounted park tickets but I have never seen Universal gift cards there.

You could create your own gift certificate to give them and just back it up with cash.

Where are you located? Some of the Target stores here in FL carry Universal Gift Cards and I think they all sell tickets.
