Any tricks for calling WDW-PLAY?

Okay I know to push 1-1 when calling DIsney dining so I was able to get my CRT, PSB and FDP, but are there any tricks to calling WDW recreation? I really want to book the WIshes birthday cruise on Monday and I'm getting nervous. I know that Illuminations cruises usually sell out first, is that because there are more WIshes cruises are because more people want to book the Illuminations cruises?

Call early and often. If you first don't get what you are looking for, call everyday until you do. Someone may cancel and you could be in luck. We had two phone lines calling the same time one with the toll free number and the other with the long distance number and the toll free was answered first.

At the top of this section there is a sticky post about Illuminations cruises. There is a whole sequence of numbers that you have to press before you reach a person. They are spelled out in that post. Wishes cruises seem to be easier to get than Illuminations - guess there's more boats going out each night. We did the Wishes cruise last summer. It was wonderful - we all loved it. This year I managed to get Illuminations on my 2nd try! I'm really looking forward to it. Good luck.

I recommend making a practice call or two once you get the posted directions - and start calling early!

I was able to get a Wishes cruise less than two months before our Spring Break trip...got it for a magical Easter Night at Disney. Sprinkling pixie dust your way so you'll be ok
