So I have been very fortunate to never be in Disney when it rained. Well after looking at the forecast, we may have rain almost everyday. We leave tomorrow and will stay for 9 days.

Do you have any tips for the rain at the FORT. We will have ponchos for the parks.

Thanks!

Oh, and we will be in an RV, so no worries about getting wet in a tent.

Shoes that will keep your feet dry! nothing worse than walking in soggy shoes and socks! I make sure I have a pair of leather type walking shoes, not just canvas ones.

Ponchos. And remember showers are usually short lived around there, and you can often find smaller crowds, resulting in more attraction availability.

Pack LOTS of socks....nothing more uncomfortable than having to hike around a park with wet feet in shoes. Somehow dry socks can totally turn a mood around :) Keep an eye on the radar if you can on a smart phone, and try to time out some of the indoor/covered attractions for when rain in imminent. Or if you get a couple days in and it looks like it's hitting at XXpm every day, plan to do something else, like wander downtown Disney where most things are indoors at that time. At the fort...games in the camper, movies, naps, planning out some things to do the rest of the time while you're in Orlando, etc. Sadly a full rainy day will give you "cabin fever" quickly! Hope it stays dry for ya!

Thank you!! I am in final stages of packing and added extra socks and shoes. I didn't think about wet feet. We are so excited..our RV will be on the way to Disney World tomorrow :cool1:

Make sure you have some cards, board games, tv/movies, etc. in the RV in case you get stuck inside for a rainy spell!

Enjoy your trip!

If you have a smartphone or iPod touch - a great rainy camper game is "heads up". It's kinda like $25,000 pyramid TV game show - it gives you a clue and the other person has to guess by your descriptions. You hold your phone on your head for the other person (or team) to see.

- A rainy day camping (or at Disney) is better than a day working :)

Spray bags you will be taking to the parks with Camp Out - its a waterproofer you can at Walmart. I spray my Vera Bradley with this stuff every 4-6 months and it works.
