I have a new crown all the way back in my mouth & I ate a blueberry muffin & I think there's a seed stuck. I've tried 2 different flosses & a pick. Any other suggestions? I really can't get by the dentist to have one of them dislodge it.

I would try vigorous warm salt water rinses. The salt water will help reduce the swelling in your gums. I might also take some ibuprofen for the same reason. It may take a day or two for the swelling to reduce enough for the seed to dislodge. I would also make an appointment with your dentist for Saturday or Monday just in case it doesn't come out on it's own.

Don't water it, it might grow:duck: You could try chewing something sticky like gum, just be careful with that so you don't loosen the crown.

Have you tried your toothbrush? Honestly, no snark or sarcasm intended! My initial go-to is always a toothpick or floss, but sometimes I have to go get my toothbrush to loosen it up. I've used gum before too. Good luck!

You guys crack me up! It finally loosened. I just got a new crown and it's a little too tight. I ordered a water pick just for these occasions.

And the knot tying in the floss usually does does the trick. But I couldn't even get it between the teeth at all.
