Any tips for room requests at BWV?

We're renting points and staying BWV for a few days over presidents week. I'd prefer to be closer to the luna pool. What's the best way to request this? If we don't get it it's no big deal - looks like if we're not close to the luna pool, we end up closer to the parking lot. We use our car alot. Also by staying as a "guest" of a DVC member, anything else we should know? Can we use the other resort pools? Any other percs?

FIrst of all, it's important to know if you have rented points for the preferred view or the standard view. The following comments assume a preferred view, since the standard views are all of the front driveway or the tennis courts.

I'd have the person making the reservations for you request a Luna Park pool view ASAP. Keep in mind, that unlike the resorts, room requests are assigned at DVC locations in the order the requests are received. Since bookings start 11 months out, your request will be behind a whole lot of requests that were put in at the time of the reservations. But it certainly couldn't hurt to put it in.

By the same token, it doesn't help to call the resort a week before like it does at the resorts. DVC room requests operate a little differently.

Your alternative views to the Luna Park pool are a view of the quiet pool, a view of the canal/Swan & Dolphin hotels, or a view of the Boardwalk.

None of them are bad views...and none of them are all that far from the Luna Park pool, which is in the middle of the resort.

Thanks - I'll give a call. It will be a good time for me to confirm the reservation. It is for a standard view. So I know I won't be poolside, but thought maybe by reqesting it we'd get closer to the end nearer the luna pool.
