We (DH,DW,DD16,DD10) will be staying in a one bedroom at BWV on a II trade the last week of June. We have never stayed at BWV before. We will have a car, and have no idea whta type of view we will have. Since DVC went to RCI I doubt we will have the chance to do DVC again.

Any tips, ideas you have, or any room requests you think we should make would be great!

Thanks Ray

For points reservations - DVC has 3 views: standard (front driveway), boardwalk and preferred pool/garden. Does your reservation show a specific view? If not, it will most likely be pool/garden which are usually left over after DVC reservations. It could be main pool, quiet pool or a garden area near the Swan facing the canal.

If long walks are an issue, you may want to request close to the elevator, there is only 1 elevator bank. You could also request a certain floor (1 to 5). The lower floors are easier to get out quick (there are many stairwells), the higher floors have better views. Because of the view categories narrowing down the rooms, requests can be hard to fullfill.

Thanks for the tips.

My confermation only shows "Unit No: UUU1" I doubt this means anything.

Are there luggage carts we can use to help get our things to our room? It sounds like getting groceries from the car to the room could be a pain.

Can you see fireworks from any of the Pool/Garden viewrooms? Should I call before I get there with any room requests I come up with?

I will be ariving early in the morning, by 9 or 10, should I go to the resort to check-in even though my room will not be ready? Can they give me a pre-check-in so I will not have to stand in line later?

Thanks Ray

When we did a II trade in 1/09 we were pool/garden view and were told that II always had that view...

There are definitely luggage carts, and they will hold your luggage until your room is ready including groceries! Buy bottled water at the store, you will save a fortune. Yes, you can pre-registure early in the morning and get your room keys (cards). You will not know your room number - they usually give you a number you can call to see if your room is ready - they say they will call you, but that does not seem to happen on a regular basis.

Seeing the fireworks is extremely doubtful, but you will hear them :-)

It really can be a hike from the elevators to your room, so if you have little ones request a room near the elevators, and then about three days before you arrive call the BWV and make sure that request is on your reservation.

ENJOY YOUR TRIP - dreamlinda
