any tips for buying gap kids jeans on sale?

My son loves the one pair of gap kids jeans that he got as a hand me down. I would like to get him one more pair. Can someone tell me what type of sales Gap has on kids jeans? I know they recently had buy one pair at full price and get a second pair for half price. Is that about the best that they do? With my luck the jeans he is in love with will be an older style that they don't make anymore, but I figrue its worth a trip to the mall to check it out.

I wanted to add that what he loves about the jeans is the slide instead of the button or snap that most jeans have above the zipper. If anyone knows of cheaper jeans that have the slide that would be great too.

BOGO 1/2 is usually the best that I see from the gap. Sometimes they will have buy 2 or more and get special pricing. Old Navy has everyday jean pricing for some lines at $15 but you can't use coupons with everyday value pricing.

I usually shop their friends and family sales. i think there is usually one in November and March.

Why not just look on Ebay for some gently-used Gap Kids jeans? I think you could get them for a cheap price that way. Either that, or you can probably find them at Once Upon A Child for cheap.

The only time that I got a really cheap deal (like $5/pair) on Gap jeans was when they were discontinuing one particular style. I stocked up in 3 sizes for DD!

GAP is going to be closing stores so you may be able to hit going out of business stores. There is also a GAP brands clearance outlet in Hebron KY.

Another option is to check your thrift stores. I found DH a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans for $4, and he wore them for about 5 years...not too bad.

Something else that I don't see posted very often, buying ahead. I bought my dd jeans in the spring (I think it was during the friends and family sale) and bought several pairs of jeans for $10 each at Gap. I do the same thing with Gymboree. Clearance rack + coupon = great prices!!!
