Any tips for booking for Christmas Week ('07)

We want to check in on 12/30/07, and we're staying until 1/7/08. However I can't book until 11 months outside of my check out date (is that right? I'm a newbie). I'm afraid even if calling at 11 months out, we'll have trouble getting in anywhere on 12/30 since many people will be there for Christmas week. Someone said on a post that if your booking for Christmas week you need to book day by day. Is this true? Is it possible? Thanks. I'm just really nervous there won't be availability.

Calling day by day means that on January 31, 2007, you will call for your first night December 30th 2007 at your home resort. You have to wait until the 31st, because you can book 11 months out from each check-out date. Tell the CM that you will be calling day by day until you reach the ressie for your last day.
