hello everyone my self and my family are spending 8 days at the world July 14-21st and i was wondering if anyone had any tips thank you in advance

We stayed for two weeks last July and took another family on their first visit. Had a great time! Use the morning and evening Extra Magic Hours - we spent the hottest part of the day in our villa and at our resort pool, which was relaxing and the kids loved it. The evening extra magic hours were great when the sun went down - very enjoyable! Also, drink lots of water - you can ask at any counter service or kiosk with a soda fountain for a free cup of ice water and we just added it to our water bottle all day. Have fun!

Bring lots of sunscreen and take a break in the afternoon when it's the hottest. Also, make your ADRs. July is a busy month.

Take sunscreen! We go July/August and it's always hot hot hot! Drink plenty of water/juice during the day and rest often. We so as OP does, go to one park in the morning, cool off later back at resort pool, take a nap or just relax. We then go to a different park for the evening.

Some resorts have 24 hour pools so we sometimes make use of that after a long night of EM hours.

July ROCKS! Wish I was going in July this year again, but alas, I'm going in April instead.;)

Biggest and best advice for July:

WATER - however you can get it. Drink it, swim in it, ride water rides, just immerse yourself in water - or you will probably expire. ;) But seriously, it gets HOT and it gets HUMID. So much so that the second you walk out of your hotel room, you're sweating.

Put your hair up or put a hat on - whatever you need to do to keep the hair off your neck - or I promise, you will be pulling it up constantly to let your neck breathe.;)

Take advantage of the waterparks and the pools - you will LOVE the waterparks in July - you NEVER get cold - never. You will CRAVE being in water every single second.

Bring an UMBRELLA. Yeah, it rains - actually, it pours. Hard. Those ponchos are nice, but water beating down on your head is just not pleasant - have an umbrella ready - you will thank me later.:thumbsup2

Take advantage of the parks being open late - and YAY for you, they are open late in July. Try to do most of your running around parks for the evenings - a little (not much, but a little) cooler.

And most of all - have fun - I Looooooooove July in WDW - everything (usually) is open and operating and there's just a really cool festive air about the place - it's really alive.:cool1:

Like everyone says, water! suncreen! rest, relax and cool off in the afternoon. Get up early, or stay out late. I like the disney ponchos with a baseball cap to keep the rain out of my face. Kids really like the mister fans that spray water. Stay where there is a pool you can go in late at night. I hate it when pools close at 10 or 11 in July! Have fun!

One of our trips each year is the first week of July to celebrate the 4th in style!

This year we have 4 rooms at the POLY starting on the 29th of June.

You've got great advice so far, have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Fill your spray mister bottle with ice water.

Don't forget sunscreen for the back of your neck, your ears, tops of your feet (if you wear sandles).

Parks are open late every night, and with evening EMH even later. Take advantage of those night time hours! 6 PM to midnight is far more pleasant than 8 AM to 2 PM.

For one reason or another we always manage to hit the parks in July. It's crowded, it's beyond hot, but we love it!!

I completely agree with everyone else, WATER!! Even if you don't feel thirsty, drink it, lots of it. Last year we also picked up cotton bandanna's at the dollar store before we left for Disney. Carried them with us to the parks and watered them down in the restrooms (for some reason the water from the sinks in the restrooms is colder than from the fountains!). I tied mine loosely around my neck, and DS would tie his around his head. Kept us nice and cool.

We also took advantage of the EMH hours in the evenings. Especially in the MK, after Wishes the park really clears out and you have three hours of cooler temps and lighter crowds. Heaven!:)

Have a great time!!
