Hi everyone!

Here's yet another thread about when we should go back to WDW! Normally, we try to go in the fall. Unfortunately, I just started a new job a few months ago, so we needed to postpone. I don't think I can wait a full year for next fall, so I was looking at the springtime. I don't mind taking the kids out of school, since avoiding crowds is my biggest goal. I would also rather go when it's warmer out, but I know that can be unpredictable depending on when in the spring we go. I'm thinking that perhaps the end of April/beginning of May might work for us, but any opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

For us, April and May is just too hot and will never go around that time again. The 1st trip was in March and I remember it being perfect....chilly at night and early morning but perfect otherwise.

Do NOT go the week before or after Easter! The crowds will be insane. That's the only time we can go this year, and I'm really nervous about how packed the parks will be.

End of April, beginning of May sounds perfect for avoiding crowds and enjoying warm weather. When I was in college, I used to go right after final exams (early/mid-May) and the parks were practically empty. That was a long time ago, but since then I've gone Memorial Day weekend a few times, and while the crowds are higher then, the weather is hot, but not unbearable, so I imagine early May will be warm, but not as bad as real summer.

Easter is April 5th this year, spring break is *usually* mid-late March so I'd think as far as crowds you should be good in late April-early May.

Thanks everyone! It seems like the weather in early May is comparable/cooler than when we've gone in September. I've been reading conflicting info about crowds; some sites say there are minimal crowds, other say large crowds, which is why I wanted to ask here. Thanks! Off to plan more!

Just FYI, Schools in New England tend to take a much later spring break than those in the south & midwest, so you will want to account for that if planning an April trip. Our area of CT mostly has the third week of April for our vacation week (this year it's the week of the 13th, which actually seems early for us because of the way the calendar falls, usually we are around the week of the 20th
).

I would pick either the first week of march or wait until the last week of April thru 3rd week of may.

The first two weeks of May is a great time to go. The Spring crowds have died down and the weather is consistently warm. You shouldn't have any trouble moving through the parks or getting seated at a restaurant.

One of the best times we had was the first two weeks of May. Great weather, lower crowds.
love it.
