Its on the Dining Plan and I love lobster so I thought I'd give it try but would like to hear some first-hand experiences. Anyone? :flower:

Grotesque. Probably the worst restaurant in WDW. Guests have posted extensively about it....sad, really, since the location is great and it's the only DTD restaurant run by Disney.

If you go, stick to drinks and appetizers. Keep in mind that this restaurant does NOT take PS's.

Better food is available at Fulton's.

I hated this place. My sister and I went here with out two kids (both aged 11) and wanted dessert and cocktails for us, soda for them. The hostess sat us at the bar and the bartender was clearly annoyed that we were there and only eating dessert. He had major attitude. Secondly, there is no atmosphere there and a nasty odor coming from behind the bar, it smelled as though they never wipe up any water. We both agreed that we would never go back.

We enjoyed the restaurant itself, but the food, better left for someone else with no tastebuds, just awful. Go for a drink at the bar at sunset, it is just beautiful, but I would not go for the food. First and Last time we will eat there.

We went there for an appetizer lunch with drinks last week. They were pretty good actually. Did the same about a year ago with same results. Based on reviews here and elsewhere I wouldn't try dinner here however. Too many other places that are good!

We usually eat there for a light lunch. We were there on Tuesday, actually, and I had the baby green salad with papaya vinegrette, the New England clam chowder and the spinach and artichoke dip, and DH had the shrimp and crab pasta. We both really enjoyed our meals, and had very good service. I have only eaten there once for dinner, and the food was good and the service was fine. However, we did get there before the big rush. Since this restaurant does not accept PS, the wait can get a bit crazy after 6 pm, and many do not think that it is worth it. To each his own. :confused3

They've expanded their menu since the last time we stopped there. We just had drinks and nachos and it was fine.

WOW! What a dissapointment to read all these bad reviews (1 out 8). I think I'll skip this one. I was only interested because it was the only restaurant at DTD that is on the Dining Plan. Back to the drawing board. Thank you everyone for your input. :goodvibes

We really like the seafood pasta dish. We have also been seated at the bar and had great service. No bad odors. I think there are far worse restaurants on site - we like it.

This seems to be one of the restaurants where some people love it and some dispise it. We love it. I think they have the best clam chowder. DH loves the seafood pasta. I helped DD eat the grilled chicken sandwich from the Kids Meal and it was pretty good.
Obviously some people still like it, or it would have closed down by now.

Similarly, Donald's Breakfastasaurus in AK, gets quite a few negative reviews but we still went, and I thought it was much better than Chef Mickey's.

We were there for lunch three weeks ago - there were five in our party. We were seated next to a window looking over the water, which made for a very pretty view. My dad and I had the New England clam chowder as an appetizer, which was delicious - large chunks of potatoes and clams and very creamy. I had a tuna salad sandwich on a croissant, which was also very good. My dad and DH had the crab melt, which they both enjoyed. My DD had the shrimp and crab pasta which she could not finish - I tasted it and it was divine, although very rich. My mom had a chicken caesar salad which she said was excellent. Our server did a great job and we were all happy and full when we left - and we did receive the DDE discount there with no problems. We will definitely go back again.
