Any sweepstakes winners?

My mom enters contests as a hobby, so I've won some stuff as a result. Probably the biggest prize I've ever won was a year's supply of dental products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.) from Colgate for a family of 4. Since I'm single and don't have kids, that stuff lasted FOREVER. I donated the stuff I wouldn't use, like bubblegum-flavored toothpaste and a couple of Barbie toothbrushes, to charity, and I used the rest. I think I won it in 2005-ish and used the very last bit of the prize, a Spongebob toothbrush, on my graduation trip to WDW in May 2008.

The rest of the family has won stuff like a portable DVD player, an XBOX, countless gift cards, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now. The most recent was a lunch with NFL HOF'er Jerry Rice that my brother went to this past Saturday.

Any recent winners?
Recent winner of a 5-day/4-night Disney Cruise here...:cool1: Which we're taking in mid-April.

I enter multiple Disney sweepstakes/contests on a daily basis... Disney Cruise Lines & Electronic Arts sponsored a sweepstakes to celebrate the release of Active (a Wii fitness "game). I received my winner's notification and almost threw it out because I thought is was just more cruise line "junk mail".

My prize consisted of:
  • Cruise
  • Wii
  • EA's Active

The down side is, of course, the tax implications:headache: Winners are taxed on the Approximate Retail Value of the prize. So, we took a slight hit on our tax refund this year.

Sorry, I know it says Disney winners only, but this could pay for a way to Disney.

I am a multi-million dollar lottery winner. That's what I'm saying. I found an old ticket in my wallet from July that I've never checked the numbers on. As long as I don't check the numbers, those numbers are a multi-million dollar winner and will help to pay for a vacation to Disney :thumbsup2

I suppose it's March already. July is right around the corner. Don't you have a year to collect on a lottery ticket? If I wait past the year, those numbers will definitely be million dollar winners...

If you stare long enough at a lottery ticket, the numbers will change to winning numbers. Go ahead, give it a try ;).

I entered this one but didn't win! Lucky you. If you've already paid the taxes, when you actually file your taxes next year, if you document how much YOU could book the actual trip for, you can end up paying less taxes.

I did, however, win the Pizza Hut/Orlando Convention and Business Bureau 2nd place sweepstakes. We are going in May.

Includes:

-Roundtrip airfare
-Car rental
-Park tickets
-Room 4 days/3 nights

It is not a Disney trip though, so we're staying off site. I'm excited because my cousin is doing the college program so her family and my grandparents planned to go down. My grandparents have never been before, so it will be their first trip. I was disappointed because we couldn't afford to go since we are going with my in-laws in June, but winning this trip made it possible. WOOHOO!! :cool1:

I've also won a car and a Baby Bjorn Classic Organic baby sling.
