Any suggestions for room request at the Beach Club?

I think there are 2 schools of thought. If we request the far end closest to EPCOT, it is a much closer walk to same. If we request near Cape May, we would be closer to the bus lines, the boat the pool the restaurants. I don't know anything about the hotel, and don't know if the above is true. Does anyone have any suggestions for room request here.

When we stayed at BC I remember when we first went to our room, I thought they were joking, it was corridor after corridor. It took forever to get to our room. I felt so isolated back there. I also had paid for a room with a water view and what I got was a quiet pool (I was hoping more for the lake). I was already to complain but I was too tired just from hike to the room (we hadn't even been to the parks yet!!! Anyway, it was a nice room and all, just far away, so I was ready the next day to complain until my kids went out our slider (we were on the ground floor) and walked around the pool and right there was the path for Epcot. I loved being that close to the path and it made up for being so far away from the lobby. It's just a matter of preference. No matter what end of the hotel you stay in just ask for a refurbished room. You may also want to ask if the pool there is open, I thought I heard that it was closed for repairs at some point. :wizard: princess:

We are doing a land/sea..but I asked for a water view, not sure if that's available, but doesn't hurt to ask. You said refurbished room...are those really much nicer? I thought they were all pretty new. Also, is a full balcony a better choice? Thanks!

I think a full balcony does make a difference. But I am a balcony Type :cheer2: I like to sit out in the morning with my coffee. The small balconies are small, just enough room to stand at the railing. It depends on what you prefer. No matter which, it is a lovely resort.

I just always ask for a refurbished room in general. I have been assigned rooms in Disney that have needed some TLC and had to end up moving anyway, so I figure it's better to get the nicer room to start with. As far as the balcony goes I would imagine a full balcony would be much nicer but I would also guess it comes at a price, along with the water view. If your going during a slow week you never know what they are willing to give you!!! :thewave:

Full balconies don't cost extra but I would add it to your request if it is something you want.

The water view is a reservation choice that cost $$ not a request so if you pay for that you will get it. It could be a view of a pool or the lake.

I didn't make a request regarding our location to Epcot although we ended up in a great room that was just up the stairs to the second floor from the lobby and therefore close to restaurants, bus stop, pool. It was centrally located in the resort so it wasn't far from Epcot or anything in the resort.

I would request to not overlook the lower rooftop which is really an ugly view but probably isn't a problem if you are doing water view vs garden view.
