We love seafood but not anything spicy.

thanks!

Our favorite is Tortillas Joes and they have a lot of food that is not spicy at all. If you want seafood you probably want a restaurant in one of the hotels, which are all within walking distance of the parks.

Expen$ive and Downtown Disney = rather redundant.

OP, when are you going? Earl of Sandwich is planning to open a new restaurant in DTD later this year.

We really like Tortilla Jo's as well.

Whitewater Snacks in the Grand Californian has good fast food.

We really enjoyed La Brea Bakery for lunch on their outdoor patio. Great paninis!

We ate at the ESPN Zone twice on our recent trip. Food was good but $$$.

The sports themed game room upstairs was fun.

Another vote for Tortilla Joe's. I think Rainforest Cafe is rather overrated.

House of Blues was overpriced and mediocre.

Tortilla Joes was delicious, just keep in mind that their walk-up service side has better prices, but a smaller menu. We ordered burritos and loved them.

Rainforest Cafe has a great atmosphere, but I wouldn't go there without my kids. The food is your average American-style fare.

Jazz Kitchen is my new favorite. Their entree's are a bit pricey, but the appitizers are enough for a full meal and their drinks are strong. The will make the banana's foster right in front of you to my firey delight and you can get three mardi gras beads for a $1 - well worth it! I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service here the best out of all of the DTD restaurants. Worth the price every time. They also have delicious Cafe DuMonde beniegts at their counter service. (Just don't buy the boxed mix there, wait until you get home, Cost Plus sells it for $7 cheaper)

Our favorite place in DTD by far is Naples Ristorante--they have a sit-down side, but usually we grab a salad and slice at the walk-up side. It is SUCH good super thin authentic pizza, and they have paninis and deli salads as well. We also like the walk-up at the Jazz Kitchen--the chicken strips are my go-to, and they have AMAZING beignets (super fun and messy for kids). I'm not a seafood person so can't advise there sorry!

Same here! I love Jazz Kitchen now. I had only gone once before (to the main restaurant) and didn't care for being inside next to the band, plus my French onion soup was awful. Now that I've discovered the courtyard and balcony seating and learned to avoid the FO soup, I enjoy everything served to me and I can't wait to go back. We had bananas foster one night and the double chocolate bread pudding another (which is actually a chocolate souffle prepared right before you get it and served hot with pots of hot dark and white chocolate to pour over it). To die for!!!!! We were so excited when, in the midst of our meal, the fireworks went off and we had a fantastic view of them!

I'm not sure, but I think Catal has seafood. I didn't care that much for the things I saw on their menu, though. There's Napa Rose at GCH, of course, but it's very pricey, and Steakhouse 55 at DLH. Both are excellent.

RFC = okay

If you're going during the day, I love La Brea sit-down for breakfast/lunch.

I really enjoyed our breakfast at Storyteller's but again, the prices are high for what you get IMO.

Trader Sam's at DLH is fun and has delicious food that is more appetizer type fare but very reasonable and filling.

I haven't eaten at Tortilla Jo's, ESPN Zone, or any of the PPH places. Not a fan of Naple's except for the take-out. Don't like WWS at GCH (average cafeteria food to me).

I know a lot of people like TJ's but we've eaten there twice and both we've had rather uncomfortable results......let's just say we were in the restrooms often after eating there. We won't go back.......

We love the Jazz Kitchen, we like the dine in side but the express is good for something quick. They have really great seafood there, I had a shrimp po' boy and OMG......it was so super good!!!! :)

We also like RFC, many seafood choices and DBF and I tend to get an appetizer and then share a meal, we like the Maya Combo, it's enough for the 2 of us (with the appetizer) to leave very full. :)

We didn't love ESPN or Naples and we haven't eaten at the Uva Bar/Catal.

If you love seafood there is also a Bubba Gump's in the Garden Walk and there's a Joe's Crab Shack down Harbor across the street from the Target. Both good IMO!

It depends what you are looking for. IME, Rainforest, ESPN Zone, and Jazz Kitchen are all predominantly greasy/bar food. La Brea and Uva Bar are great options for fresh food that is a little nicer and healthier. They are also both in a nice location where you can people watch and feel part of the action but it's not in your face like at Jazz, Rainforest or ESPN. Naples is also pretty good if you like Italian and has a nice patio too. I can't say I have ever eaten seafood in Anaheim (other than the ahi tuna tacos at Uva bar - tasty!).

Bon Appetit!

I've found plenty of menu options at RBJK & RFC that are neither greasy nor considered bar food......

I've had some great salads and sandwiches at both locations. JMHO

I agree! I think the PP was probably thinking of the Jazz Kitchen Express rather than the sit down restaurant. The sit-down is fairly upscale and offers filet mignon and things of that nature.

RFC has quite a mixture of different things, some greasy, some not. I used to love love love their salmon on a plank dinner, but sadly, it is no longer on the menu, or wasn't last time I looked. It was grilled on wood so it had a wonderful flavor and was served with veggies. I was on a very specific diet at the time and RFC did have many items that fit well and they were very good about substituting. For instance, I got fresh veggies instead of starchy foods with no hassles. In general, I do have to say that the food tends toward pub-type fare but there are a lot of things that can be ordered grilled and with salad, vegetables, soup, etc. if greasy is not your thing (definitely not mine)(usually).

ETA: forgot to say that JK Express has those greasy beignets (that taste heavenly) along with breakfast burritos, fries, and that type of food, so it definitely fits the "greasy" description

Yes, I agree about the JKE, it's definitely greasier than the actual restaurant is. :) I love those beignets as well! :)
