Can anyone help?

I am looking to book a 7 night cruise, however I am after any suggestions where I can book this holiday. My local travel agent gave me a price of $8000 for the cruise in 2003, this seems alittle high? Or is it just me?

We went on the 4 day cruise in 99 and it was no where near that price.

We are looking at a Cat 5 cabin with verandah, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

How many people? Adults, children,. When? What room category? All impact the price but that seems high. We are in a Cat 5 in March 2003 for $3200 two adults and I booked a year ago! Chk with another TA, ck on line with Travelocity or Expedia or the DCL site. That will give you availability in various categories for all dates.

Does that quote include airfare.....as the other posters said, alot of different things affect the price.

We are looking to cruise the week 5 July, as my daughter is 10 on the 4th July and my son is 3 on the 8th!!

Stateroom Cat5 cabin with verandah, to take the 4 of us, the price I was quoted did not include air faires!

Any more comments, most helpfull, got a quote off dreams unlimited, wow what a saving, down to $6100

Thank you in advance,

Don't forget to try DCL themselves at www.disneycruise.com. You can get an idea on the baseline of prices for specific dates, number of guests, categories, etc. This is helpful in discussing prices with other Travel Agents. Good Luck!

Try a Cat 6 - same size stateroom, verandah etc. the only difference between the two is that the Cat 6 are one deck lower.

A category 6 cabin will only save $200, so it's a savings but not a big one. One note, this is a cruise during the summer which is DCL's busiest season, with the exception of Easter and Christmas. Also, this is after the 4th of July holiday in the US, so I'm sure a popular time for vacation time. Unforunately, the summer books up pretty quickly, with the cheapest prices occuring as soon as rates are release. These dates have probably been able to be booked for approx one year, so they probably are already pretty booked. I wish I had better news for you, but for DCL to get the best price the advice is to book in as far advace as you possibly can. Usually at least 1 year to a year and a half.

The Dreams Unlimited price sounds about right for the details given. We're a family of 4, although kids are over 13 so fares are higher, sailing in June 21st and that would be pretty comparable adjusting for age differences - also in cat 6.

Try cruise.com for a quote. You can email them instead of calling. The website won't list the lowest prices. Try the category 6 room.....same room, same view, different deck, but still high on the ship.
