Someday we would like to stay at the Treehouse Villas, and I wondered if anyone had success at the 7 month window and if so, for what time of year? How hard is it to book them generally even with SSR points?

I booked the THV on March 1 for the beginning of Oct. I did not get all the days I wanted but waitlisted for the days I did not get. I called back about 5 days later and got all but 1 day so again I waitlisted. The following day when I checked my DVC account the waitlist came through. I think someone might have changed to an Epcot resort at the 7 month window due to F&W.:banana::banana:

Unless they have declared more into the inventory, there are only about 30 of these available for points.

We stayed at the Tree house last month and used the 7 month window. I called and ask for any 5 day stretch in the time frame I wanted and was able to get it. Flexibility is the word

I know of some people that have traded out, but it is one of the more difficult ones to book.

Thanks! Maybe we'll have to do a SSR point transfer into our account to get the 11 month advantage. They look magical!!

I booked in January for August and did a weird Tues - Tues timeframe and got it on the first call

As for booking with SSR points, I have been an owner with all of my points at SSR since 2004 :). Last Easter, which is one of the buiser times of the year, we stayed in the THV and did 9 days  . I called right at the 11 month window and got all 8 nights on the first call. If you are or have SSR points and call at the 11 month window you shouldn't have a problem. If you call at the 7 month window I agree with the other posters, I think flexibility is the key :thumbsup2. In any case, we LOVED the Treehouses, and would stay there again in a heartbeat!! :cloud9:

My SIL decided 2 weeks ago to go to disneyworld for a week over easter - this year! She has managed to book a few things like character meals and the pirates and pals fireworks cruise that I didn't think she would, but when she told me she got a treehouse for the whole week (for cash) I was shocked! So she managed to book it on March 15 for travel April 17-April 24!

Maybe they save one or two for cash - or maybe someone canceled and there was no waitlist? (although it is around easter, and I know another site's crowd calendar has given that week all 10's):confused3

did you need to call twice to get the last day. I thought you could only book 7 nts at a time.

Only 30 of the 60 THV have been declared into the condominium. That means there are 30 of them always available for cash, since they still belong to the Developer, not members. It's not surprising that there are still THV's available for cash - they are expensive!!

Only declared rooms can be booked for points, and until the Developer sells the points associated with the first 30 (and declares the other 30 into the condominium so they can be sold) , the other 30 will be offered to anyone willing to book them for cash.

Thanks! I couldn't understand how it was so easy for them to get one this late in the game. I didn't realize that 30 were available for cash bookings!

I was able to get one on the military discount for late may...which I was shocked. I called in January to get it, wanted BLT, but the THV was my second choice. I can't wait!!

Couldn't get one 7 months out for the last weekend in October, so I booked a dedicated 2 bedroom there and waitlisted.

Nope, actually I waited one day past the day we wanted to begin the visit. They let me book all 8 nights with no problem. One phone call.
