I thought it would be neat to have a place to talk strings, I know there is at least one other string teacher on these boards.
I love to share my ideas with others but also learn from what others do. I've been teaching strings privately for over 25 years, public school 7 years. My primary instrument is violin but I also play viola professionally. I think I'm a closet cellist. Love that instrument.
I am the sole elementary string teacher in our district, I teach in four buildings grades 4 and 5. I absolutely love it. Each year I am refining and changing my approach to help the student's learning and each year is better than the one before it.
