Any storage other than the cabin?

Is there anyplace to store some items other than your room? We are going on our first cruise this year, a 3 nighter, after 5 days offsite at the parks. We are going to rent a car for our 5 days, and usually bring down the 2 booster seats for the rental; $8 a day is pretty steep.

We will be dropping off at the Avis in Cape Canaveral, and hopping the shuttle to the ship. After the cruise, we will be hopping the shuttle back to Avis, and spending the day at Universal before our late flight home.

Is there anyplace on the ship, or at the terminal, to store something we don't need on board? They're just small boosters, and would probably fit in a small locker, even.

Thanks in advance:wave2: .

I don't know the answer to your question, but would they fit under the bed? A lot of luggage (emptied) fits under the bed. You can just lift up the bed frame and put it under if it won't slide under the other way.

Just a thought.

Another idea is to take the life jackets out of the closet and put them under the bed. This would give you some storage on the shelves in the closet.

Thanks, everybody. We've never been on a real cruise, so we're not sure what to expect yet.

Thanks.

If you ask your steward they may take your suitcases (or car seats) and store them for you separately. Offer a little extra tip....

I was pleasantly surprised at how much storage space there was in our room. I think you should be able to fit the seats in the closet and still have room for your clothes. There were four of us in our room and we had empty drawers and closet space.

Perhaps if you attach a pocket knife to each booster. Then when you try to bring them on board, DCL will "confiscate" them for the duration of the cruise. You would then be able to pick them up when DCL allows you to collect confiscated items when you return to Port Canaveral. :hyper:

Just a thought...Have you looked into the price of renting the car for a week and leaving it at the port ($7. a day - I think) . When we compared weekly vs. Daily rates for a rental car for our4 day cruise last year it was hardly any more money to keep the car and park at the port (and a lot less hassle with kids). Also you can save money this way by exploring some of the other rental car companies that are available at the airport but might not have an outlet near the port. (Avis and Hertz tend to be higher $$ in my opinion.)

I know I saw a storage area on our deck last time (Deck 5 - Aft)
that had a bunch of strollers, car seats & other stuff that had to be passenger's items. I'm sure there must be storage for your booster seats. Maybe you can call DCL if no one here has a definite answer.
