Any 'Star Wars: Galxies' players?

What's your experience like so far?

I'm a relative newbie to MMORPGs, but I played Asheron's Call for a while.
I've found SWG to be buggy, with some serious lag issues. It seems like it could be a great game. Maybe with time...

Plus, I'm a little apprehensive about approaching other players with questions. I usually end up reading forums and watching other conversations to see what happens.

So far I've done a delivery mission, killed a few Coruscant butterflies (misleading name!) and angered a local guard who keeps chasing me down and shooting me until I'm incapacitated.

So, if you've got it, what do you think?
My thoughts? I'm willing to wait and see. I think it has a lot of potential.
I'm on Coruscant on the Bria server.

Our DS got SWG during the week, but he had a 32MB video card. He couldn't see the faces and it kept booting him out of the game....so we had his graphic card updated to 128MB, what a difference. He just got it installed last night and got to try it out for about 10 min. before Comcast cut eveyones cable access for the night so they could do service. I'm sure he can't wait to play today!
I'll ask him the details when he gets up. I know he was planning to join the rebels.
Have fun with it! Did you have to pay to join?

I don't have it yet but will probably get it. I'm waiting to see reaction from the player community and reviews from the gaming mags so I know what I am getting myself into.

Like Grog, DH is waiting to see reviews. He was one of the Beta testers but I guess the Beta release was much more limited than the game will be. DH hates the idea of paying a monthly subscription fee to play online so I'm not sure he'll go for it. DS is chomping at the bit.

Can't wait for reviews.

DS says he's a Coruscant on the Bloodfin server.
The SWG site is down until this afternoon.
He wants to know if you found a weapon yet and where did you get it.
He joined for 3 months for $49.
I hope it's worth it! Did anyone else pay to join?
