Any space coast hotels hold 5 and not break the bank?

We sail on Sunday, and are following our Wonder cruise with 3 nights at VWL. I was kind of looking at flying down Sat. morning and doing a beach so my kids can see the ocean. However, my kids will be 5,8 and 11 and some of these bargains aren't bargains if you need two rooms! Does anyone know if there is a decent hotel where we can all fit in one room, and then just have a short hop to the port next morning?

I have a summary of Space Coast lodging options at my web site. You'd have to visit some of these properties' web sites to verify whether they would allow 5 in a room. My guess is you might want to try a property such as Royal Mansions.

king suite-
We had two king/queen beds in the bedroom and a hideabed in the living room. The room was huge, with a small kitchenette as well.

We also have 3 children (10, 7, 4). The night before our cruise we stayed at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach - it's just a few miles down from the port. It is right on the beach. We had a room that had 2 beds (either queen or double - don't remember) and a sleeper sofa. It was perfect for 5 of us. The hotel is pretty nice and includes breakfast. I know it was not very expensive. I want to say we paid less than $80 for the room! I can look it up if you want. Also - we were supposed to have a room with a King bed and a sleeper sofa - we were going to just have the little one sleep with us in the King bed. When we got there late at night after a VERY long trip (but that's another story!), they had put us in this corner room that was very large and had the extra bed. They were very nice and we were very thankful!

We had one of the oversized rooms at the Hampton Inn also. We had a non view room -- although I cannot imagine where a 'view' room would have looked out! It is walking distance to the beach. And a short walk down the beach to RonJon's surf shop. Show your Hampton room key and receive a discount on your RonJon purchases. What we saved on breakfast for 5 people alone was worth it! We had a coupon for the Hampton ----- email me if you'd like me to try and dig up the site that shows coupons for space coast area.

We have the Radisson booked....a king suite with 2 kingbeds and a queen sleeper sofa. The room also has a whirlpool. With the FALL promotion, the room is $99.

I'd like to put in another good word for the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach. We stayed there last month for two nights after our cruise and found it quite comfortable. Our standard-size room had two double beds with room for a rollaway cot, so there was plenty of room for a family of five. It's a nice, short walk to the beach, the continental breakfast is more than adequate, and it's a pretty quick drive to the Port. Plenty of fast food options nearby, and for dinner the hotel staff recommended a seafood restaurant that was fantastic!

Robin: You can try to book with that promtion. When it was announced this spring people here were able to use it in May, June, etc. Don't know if it will still be available next summer, but it was available this summer.

We also stayed at the Radisson in one of their King Suites the night before our July 6th cruise. The suite was huge.

It's actually two rooms with two king-size beds, a whirlpool and the bathoom in the one room, and a full living room/kitchenette with a queen-size sleeper sofa in the outer room.

The four of us (two teenage kids) had plenty of room and could of comfortably slept two more people without any problem.

Good Luck!

I just booked our family of five into the new Holiday Inn Hotel in Cocoa Beach. We have a suite for $78 dollars a night. I was really excited about that price. I think it is a new hotel. Good luck!

The Fall Rate of $99 is good for your June 28th 2003 night before stayover:bounce: I hope it is there for my Sept 5th 2003 night.
