Any Space 220 reviews?? Is it worth the money??

We just ate at Space 220 on October 31st. We had fabulous service. The food was very good (our family had the filet, the duck and the red snapper. Amazing all. The desserts were too pretty to eat and absolutely delicious. I always marvel at all the negative reviews....I am not that easily impressed, but found this to be a great experience and a great meal.
Glad to see a positive review. We couldn't get in for our October trip.
I really believe one of the things that is hurting this restaurant is very HIGH expectations. There has been so much hype and so many people waiting for this restaurant to open, that I think it would be difficult to meet most peoples expectations. Having not been there, I don't know if the food truly is underwhelming or if people are going in with unrealistic expectations.
Hoping to find out on our next trip.

We had a dinner ADR for 7:20 pm yesterday. As they were seating us we noticed that the bar was practically empty. We asked if we could sit at the bar instead and they let us. Served the lounge menu and the full dinner menu (a la carte too if you wanted) at the bar. I was so glad because I wasn’t keen on the prix fixe dinner at $79pp. We spent about $150- two drinks each, cauliflower ( which was just okay), calamari, lobster roll and short rib sliders. Food was pretty decent. Service was exceptional at the bar!

It never hurts to ask at WDW. It seems the rules are always much stricter here on these boards than they are there.

We were so looking forward to this place opening - and we didnt end up either bothering trying for a res for our trip next week. A few positive reviews but overall I dont see anything that makes us want to change our minds. We'll skip this time.

We want to go drink and have something to eat at the lounge since it will be cheaper. Any advice how to get a table that way? I don't see it listed on the app, so we can't put our name on the walk up list that way, right?

Show up and wait in a queue. You will have to stay in the queue until called--however long that may be. Space 220 does not do a virtual or have a call back system.

How long is the wait for their lounge ? Hope is not hours.:(

No list. You walk up and you stand in a queue line and .... wait. 🤞

Could be. We arrived at 2 pm last Wednesday, not too crowded day at Epcot. The line in front of us was a solid 1.5 hours and there were maybe 15 people in it ahead of us. I feel like 2 is not lunch hour so it was likely longer before that. As a matter of fact while we were standing there and CM came out along the line to tell everyone at this point it was 1.5 hours, 2 couples left, not sure how long they had already been there. For them it might have meant 2 hours. She offered us a restaurant seating right away - prix fixe required - so we took it.

Once we got inside I understood why - the Lounge was packed, just about every table and the bar. Folks ordering lots of drinks, appetizers and just relaxing enjoying the atmosphere. I did not doubt the time CM outside was giving everyone because those folks were not in a hurry. I've heard if you line up before it opens your wait would be short. The rest of the day 🤷‍♀️

And that reinforces why Ogas has a time limit & BOG & now Space have gone prix fixe. Without those constraints many people are just hanging around for the atmosphere, spending very little & taking up tables that could be generating more money, for both the restaurants & servers.

True. I did go to Oga's too, and honestly without a seat and huge wallet I couldn't hang in there much past the 35 minute limit. They also told us we could not walk around until we had paid and vacated our space, then we could quickly take pictures as we left. I think it's why they keep the food menu there literally nothing.

BUT I will say the tables in the Space Lounge were full of drinks and food. People were spending.

BOG should have been prix fixe from the beginning. They lost way too much money on that place. Had they made it required to pay, they could have kept the breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price point. Dinner is fine. Hard lesson learned. If you provide real atmosphere, you better get your money up front by requiring it.
