DH and I were going to stay at Brunswick for our resting place since it's right off of I-95 and appears to be right on the way but when i look at Yahoo Maps it says that the total driving time from Spartanburg to Orlando is 8 hours but when I break it in half from Spartanburg to Brunswick is 6 hours 31 minutes and from Brunswick to Florida is 4 Hours 21 Minutes so that is 11 hours and that is a 3 hour difference?? Has anyone traveled this before and know which one is right, I wouldn't be going out of my way to stop in Brunswick would I???

Brunswick to Orlando is around 330 miles or 5 hours travel time (less if you can average 65-70 mph on the interstates). It's a good stop when going a North-South route. I don't know about East-West.

Your best bet is to stick to the interstates. They move much faster than any back roads as you have no lights or other traffic stops. It does get a bit congested around Jacksonville, but if you avoid rush hour times you should be fine.

We usually average 70mph once we get through the DC beltway to Richmond, VA. Anything further north goes at a snail's pace almost any time of day.

We live in Jacksonville, which if I remeber correct is a little over an hour south of Brunswick. It takes us two and half hours to get to Disney from here if traffic isnt bad. Figure on it taking you just under four hours. I-95 speed limit is 70 mph most of the way to Daytona, then I-4 is the same until you hit Orlando.

Just gat back from another driving trip. No matter how you slice it, Brunswick is about 5 hours from WDW. More if you hit Jax at rush hour (and DON'T drive that route just before the Daytona 500, OMG it was just awful)

We usually make it from Brunswick, GA to WDW in about 3 1/2 to 4 hours depending on what time you hit Jacksonville (AVOID RUSH HOURS!!). When I was in college and had a brand new sports car I could make it in 3 hours flat!

I totally know that feeling about driving around Daytona during the 500 weekend. We made the mistake of heading to WDW one year and got to Daytona just as everyone was leaving the Busch Race. IT took us HOURS to get down I-4 to WDW!

Think our transportation experts can also give you some great inforation.Since you had some good replys I was hoping you get some more info on this board. :goodvibes :flower: :earsboy: Danny

We stayed in Brunswick last time we drove and it took us about 4 hours to get to Orlando..we stayed at a Baymont Inn and will be staying again this time down since we couldnt get a decent airfare.

We did Priceline and received this hotel for a good price both time. A Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn also come up on Priceline mostly so its a good way to get a good rate. We have 2 rooms for one night and grand total is $76

We live in Savannah,Ga and it takes us about 5 hrs to get to WDW. It takes about 2 hrs. to get from Savannah to Brunswick, so I would say 3 hrs. from Brunswick to WDW. All I know is make a right turn at Daytona and it's only 1 more hour!!! :cool1:
