Any sonographers out there?

Hey all! I was wondering if there is any of you out there who works as a sonographer!

I am considering going back to school and this has always interested me. I would like to work with pregnant woman and would be interested in gynecologic and obstetrical ultrasound.

Is there anyone who does this? Do you enjoy it? Is it rewarding?

Is a sonographer someone that does ultrasounds? What does it take to become a sonographer? What is the demand for sonographers these days?

My wife was thinking about opening a clinic for pregnant women to get 3D ultrasounds in a spa setting. She was even reviewing business plans from someone that does these as a franchise.

My nephews wife does this & she does more than just ultra sounds for pregnant women. She works for a Womens Hospital. I don't know alot but she does enjoy her job. She went to College.
