I know that some resturants won't book ADRs for single diners (found that out the hard way at Captain's Grille). So I was just wondering if the on-line ADR system created any problems for solo diners, or if it was OK?

I too found this a problem when doing some dummy bookings as im not yet at the 90 day stage for booking my ADR's some places had seats for 1 and some didn't but when i amended the search to look for 2 people it found a time. I wondered would there be a problem if i booked for 2 and only 1 person turns up??

I've been doing them this week for my upcoming trip. I've been able to get 50's prime time, les chefs de france, and biergarten online. I'm still trying for Le Cellier. :)

How did you figure out that some restaurants won't do solo ADRs?

It looked like to me that they have very few tables in the system for 1 person , but seam to have some for 2 people can't understand why myself?? That's why i wondered if i booked for 2 people and only i turned up would that be a problem?

Although I haven't done this, I wouldn't think it would be a problem. I've met solos for the moment whose "significant other" got tired, sick, or just wasn't hungry. Or perhaps two people are planning to meet for a meal, and one's a "no-show".

I couldn't get any breakfasts at Tusker house, and at first not for 1900 Park fare but now have 2 breakfasts there and managed to get 1 for Le Cellier for 4th October. Apart from that got everything i wanted.

I originally booked most of my solo ADR's over the phone, but have been able to change several of them for different times right online with no problem. I even found a Cindy's for a single on one day that I will be there.
