Whohoo! :Pinkbounc I will be at Pop May 7-13. Wheeee ! ! ! :yay:

Hey, that will be three of us going during those dates. Think we should have a mini meet during that week? Anyone else in? :goodvibes

I guess it's my turn. I am a single mom with a ds 7 at home. We are planning a trip "home" June 21-July 2 at Pop Century. I am currently working on the stage production of "Beauty and the Beast" as music director/pianist. Opening night is 3/17 and I'm so excited to be involved with something that meshes 2 of my passions......Disney and music.

Now see, all you guys keep saying a "Disney Princess". Is that my problem? I seem to be more of a Queen than a Princess. :teeth:

:rotfl: chell, this seems to be my situation also. Maybe there are some Kings out there for us, rather than princes. I hope so!! :rotfl2:

No matter -- I tend to always find the frog! :teeth:

Slapwhitey - That cracks me up that you are an "American born on the wrong side of the border". My friends all think I am a Canadian born and raised on the wrong side of the border. My favorite sport is hockey, and most of my favorite music groups are Canadian (the Barenaked Ladies RULE!).
Shagley.... I love BNL. If you tell me you like The Tragically Hip I'm officially proposing. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Funny that the canadian's think they're the ones that were raised on the wrong side of the border...except for the fact that WDW is in the US. My ex is from Canada and I tell you what, I've lived in The States for 27 years and I would have moved to Canada in a heartbeat if he'd have asked. I love it over there!

I don't know why they quotes didn't work. :confused3
I never did rate myself on the Disney fan chart. I'd absolutely say that my friends and family would say that I was a 10. I'd have to agree. I've often said if my financial situation permitted I'd live as close as possible. Unfortunately it's not that easy for a Canadian to move down south "legally". I'll just have to marry myself an American girl ;)
I have gone to some extremes with my passion for WDW. I only have 2 tattoos (both Disney) and a personalized license plate O2BNWDW. I think that would qualify me as at worst a 9.5.

Don't get me wrong, I love being Canadian. I just have a real admiration for American patriotism and the love they have for their country. I respect that regardless of one's opinion on politics or process their country always comes first. I find, in my opinion, up here in Canada people tend to be too apologetic and too concerned about appeasing the masses and not offending anybody that they are almost afraid to admit that Canada's a great place to be.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic. How about all these singles. :thumbsup2

I understand completely, slapwhitey...we do have a lot of patriotism over here but being on this side of the border, I have been able to, over the past year or so gotten to see some real amazing qualities in Canada as well. I think it's a great place and I can't believe that I've lived less than 15 minutes from the Canadian border all of my life but didn't get a real taste of it until I was 27 years old!

But you're right.....we're off topic...my fault ;)

I have a ressie scheduled for Oct 06 already. I don't know if I'm keeping it but if there was a meet up, that might just be the perfect excuse to keep the ressie, right?

Hello everyone, :wave2:
Another single female here who enjoys Disney - 40 year old, never married, no kids, and I always find a reason to visit Disney including running. Yep, I have done the Disney marathon/half-marathon several times. The sheer sense of joy crossing the finish line with the Disney characters giving me high-fives is indescribable! I love to travel and I speak two other foreign languages.

Oh, and I have the Disney license plate frame on my car that says, “Been there, Done that…and Going back!”

If only there was a test.....

How would you rate a potential mate on a 1-10 Disney scale?

1) Hates Disney
2) Doesn't hate it but it's like pulling teeth to get them there.
3) tolerates it begrudgingly and nit picks everything
4) is okay with it but when given an option prefers other places
5) Is okay with it but only once every few years
6) Will go but wants to do Universal, Sea World, Bushe Gardens etc.
7) Goes willingly and will do almost anything
8) Totaly gets into Disney on almost every level. A day without Disney is like a day without magic.
9) Is into Disney on EVERY level...sells children to get in another trip.
10) If you won the lottery you would LIVE in Disney World!

Feel free to make changes :)

MickeysBestFriend, I have a feeling you may become a very busy single guy! ;)

Forgot to mention in my first post that on the scale, I'd probably be at least an 8, probably more like a 9 or higher.

(and I practically live in Disney ... I can hear some of the fireworks from my apartment, and spend on average 80-90 hours a week in the parks, only half of which I'm actually working)

We all owe a big THANK YOU to mdhkitten for starting a thread like this. I tried a few times but the moderators always push them off the main DVC boards and they get lost. At least we all have managed to find this one and word appears to be spreading!

Best of luck to all you Princesses, Princes, King's Queen's, Dukes. Duchesses, Mickey's, Minnies, Pluto's, Fifi's...........on finding your Disney mate!

Hey disneyaggie!

Frogs are abundant, but Princes and Kings are more likely if they're Disneyfied!

BTW....I'm going to a conference in April in your hometown. How far is it from Dallas?

 :moped:

Wow, this is a great thread. I had no idea that there were so many other single Disney lovers out there!

I'm 50 (in fact, I just celebrated my 50th birthday in WDW with about 40 of my closest friends and family). I have four grown children and two much-loved grandchildren - I've been a single parent for more than 17 years now. I live in Ontario, Canada but make the trek to WDW at least once a year if I can possibly manage it.

While I enjoy traveling to WDW with my kids (and now grandchildren) I would sure love to find a man who also enjoys going there. It would just be so great to share all the magic with someone special.

You're welcome Mickeysbestfriend! I just was hoping to find myself a Disney guy! Little did I know that it would take off the way it has! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 Hey, if you guys would, can you rate the thread? You can do it at the top of the thread. It looks like that's the only way for it to become a "sticky" so that it stays at the top of the forum and is easy to find. Thanks a lot!! :teeth:

Wow, what a great thread!
I am newly single, 26, no kids, a 10 on the scale and hopefully planning my very First solo trip for the beginning of May. :cool1:
My ex BF usually went with me but he didn't "get" it. I think there's nothing worse than going to the World with someone who doesn't get as excited as you do!
I see a few of you have plans for May too. I am still playing around with dates but will probably be there 10th- 15th. I think a mini-mini-meet may be in the works!
