Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

While I can understand everyone wanting to be part of the newest, greatest thing at WDW, I can understand why Disney isn't making it available to everyone, at every resort yet. Way too many people impacted then. Do you really want there to be a huge negative impact? I can just see it now...so many complaining...'Well, if it wasn't ready to go yet, why the heck did they let everyone use it? My vacation was so messed up because of those danged FP+ things!!!'..it always happens.
Do I care if I get to be a test subject in Sept? Nope. And if it's not up and running in Nov? No biggie. Same for Dec! I would rather have my stay run smoothly vs having glitches every time I tried to do something with those stupid magic bands or FP+.
I know that I am in the minority here, but it just isn't a huge deal to me. It will be available when it's available.

I understand where you are coming from but the majority don't make it to Disney once a yr, let alone several times. I think it would be pretty cool to get to try the newest thing and get a neat souvenir along with it. If its not available for us this yr, we won't get a chance to try it for at least a couple yrs. I am not going to cancel my trip over it or anything, but it would still be pretty cool to be a tester for Disney!!

Has anyone been able to book any FP+ past 9/28 yet? We are at POR and that is the only date coming up available so far. I can choose the other dates in our stay but it says no FP+ are available anywhere.

I agree 100% with your comments. However, the frustrating part is not knowing if I can be included or not. There's been no public communication, the CM's aren't helpful, and the information CM's are saying is mostly incorrect (or at minimum, inconsistent). I must admit, I personally have not called, but comments here indicate it's a waste of time.

If I can do MP+, great - let me know and I'll start making FP+ reservations like others. If I can't do MP+, that's fine too, I understand that they are testing and it isn't a roll-out yet (even though the official stance is still that there's no MB or FP+ testing in September...). But can Disney at least let me know one way or the other? Is that truly so much to ask?

ok - off my soap box... I'm truly happy and excited for those able to participate and I still like th MB and FP+ idea! Back to the waiting game - 24 days to go!

I am totally confused. When I click on Fastpass+, it says the selected dates don't fall in, and shows me dates from August, we are staying at POR Sept 2-7. It says we need to be linked, but I don't have a ticket number to link it too. Should I be doing something else, or I just don't have the option yet.

It is doing the same thing for me. We are staying at POR Sept. 1-8.

My family and I booked a kind of last minute trip down Labor Day weekend and are staying at Pop. While I didnt get a email or anything, I was able to choose our bands and pick FP+ options.

I'm wondering if the bands shipped this fast for August people. Anyone know. Because that's VERY fast. Perhaps that's why the bands are slowly coming online for the hotels so they can get some bands shipped before more people order them.

So I'm just wondering if those of us who can make fastpass selections will have to use our cards instead of magic bands. Maybe disney is just testing the bands part and see how they work but for us who are making selections but not able to order bands maybe they want us to use our cards? Does that make sense? If you go on the manage bands it says whether you are using a card or band so that's why I say that. But who the heck knows really.

I remember back about 22 years ago when I was on my honeymoon and we came down to WDW and Universal. MGM had just opened and Universal was just opening and trying to compete with MGM. Most of the rides weren't even operational yet. We got stuck like 3-4 times on the Jaws ride. Should have been a few minutes maybe and ended up about 30. We got passes to come back another time. MB's won't exactly impact your ride experience except for the fp+ opportunities. I agree, they don't want to risk a major problem, but we are moving into one of the slower times with smaller crowds which would be ideal for a soft roll out in my opinion.

I'm staying BC and at 16 days and still nothing for me but I am still hoping for the chance to try the bands. Might just look into switching to YC if it guarantees one.

I agree with this! I know it is a test but there seems to be a complete lack of consistent information. However this is fairly consistent with Disney in my experience. They are a VERY "silo-ed" organization. IT is one silo, DRC (Disney Reservations Center) is another silo, Resort Management is another silo, Resort CMs another, Theme Park CMs another etc....and no two silos effectively communicate. It is like a giant game of telephone where the message gets passed incorrectly.

Great explanation! And the result of all this lack of communication/teamwork is lots of extra work for their employees, and frustration for their guests. It's a crazy way to run an organization.

I got a confirmation email (5am) this morning that my Magic Bands have been shipped via UPS along with a tracking number. Wow that was fast! Customized them on Tuesday I believe? I just checked the tracking:

Scheduled Delivery: Thursday, 08/15/2013, by 10:30 A.M.

Staying at POP 9/7-9/14

I am at 30 days out today, staying at POR, and I was able to choose FP+ selections for all days of my trip. Magic Bands are still not available to me though.

Nothing on MB but optimistic about it.
