Salaried here but the company has a core hour policy that you have to be here between 9 - 3. After that you can pretty much set your own hours. I usually work 8:00 - 4:30 M - F. No overtime and no more deadlines.

Usually 6:30 or 7:00 to 5:00 for me as well.

Depending on one's occupation, time of year, etc. I understand some of us have no choice but to put in a lot of hours. I can also tell you that many, many people out there are logging more hours than they need to. They could be hiding from home life, trying to impress the company, or they're jsut not organized.

...or they're stuck in meetings with their superiors that they get dragged into at the last moment of a day.

Salaried with no OT here. Usually the workday is from 3:30 AM until done-sometimes noon, sometimes 5. No weekends, holidays, and now rarely Fridays. I am based on a 37.5 hour work week, and usually have those hours in by midday Wednesday.
