Any Saab owners out there?

DH wants to get a new car. Both of us want different cars. Trouble is, we can't find much to get excited about. Neither of us will buy an SUV on general principles. He does like the Honda CRV but not enough to break "policy" at this point. Yeah, I know, it gets great mileage but still looks like an SUV.

He has been trying to find a 99 or 00 Saab 9-3. I don't know anything about Saabs but what I read on the car sites. Does anyone have experience with them? Is there anything to be cautious about? Any and all comments are appreciated.

No personal Saab experience, but for a while it was the 'car of choice' at my company. It seemed like every other person had one. They are a great car, but when things start going wrong, the parts and repairs can be very very pricey.

DH has a 2003 Saab 95 and likes it a lot. It's a great car. You won't be disappointed

We had a Saab for 12 years, that we put over 250,000 miles on. They are excellent cars, rather expensive to maintain, but if you do maintain them they will not let you down!
